Right after the holidays, just as we’re easing into the new year, it’s time to self-assess and be assessed. But it doesn’t have to be daunting! Think of it as a personal highlight reel—a time for self-promotion and showcasing your achievements. This is the perfect moment to review and reflect on the impact you’ve made throughout the year. If you haven’t kept a “brag document” before, make it a priority in 2025! This simple habit can remind you of all your contributions, big and small. The APR is your chance to let your accomplishments shine. It’s not just about listing tasks; it’s about showing how you made a difference. What did you achieve, support, or influence? How did you move the needle forward? For those who’ve worked with multiple managers, it can be tricky to capture everything. Take a moment to map out each quarter: where did you add value? When did you make a difference for someone or improve processes? Highlight these instances, but also explain *why* they mattered. Show the ripple effect: if you hadn’t done that, how might the business or team have been impacted? Describe not just what you did, but *how* you did it—whether through speed, efficiency, cost savings, or knowledge-sharing. This is your opportunity to show how you bring unique value to the team.
