Hey Apple how many times do I need to type the word "y'all" before my phone recognizes it's a word I'd like to intentionally use? Apparently three times a day for over two months isn't enough. ----- Before the iPitchfork gang comes for me...yes, I know that I can go into settings and add things like my name and other words to the dictionary. But what Y'ALL should know is that: 1. y'all is a word 2. "Other" phones have keyboard applications smart enough to recognize words you use and make them part of your dictionary.
I still can't believe Apple won't let me Raleigh - the capital of a US state - is not in the list of cities I can choose under the Clock widget. You'd think you could create a city and specify the time zone.
I love this. We're a mixed-use family. I'm Android. My young son recently converted to iOS, and I'm continually disappointed with the lack of intuitiveness in iOS, your example being an obvious one.
Steve didn't recognize it, therefore it's not a word. /s

2moI too have this struggle with y'all. I have gotten my phone to at least stop correcting it to something else, but it refuses to add the apostrophe for me so I end up sending 'yall' a lot. HILARIOUSLY, my phone allows, and adds the apostrophe to, "ain't" 😂
