Some painful eye-opening numbers 👀 • €1.1M of profit loss per day of delay (assume 40 GWh facility) • 7+ months of delay is average "business as usual"... • Scrap rate of >30% in first year(s) is normal... 🙁 "Digitalization seems to have been neglected in battery cell production. But the complexity of battery cell production requires data-based problem solving in addition to purely knowledge-based solutions... This supports faster factory construction and a fast and safe detection of defects in production, thus enabling higher quality and less scrap rates." To truly build a competitive battery factory of the future, all companies need to implement a digital battery manufacturing strategy ASAP.
