Happy Leap Month! As we enjoy one extra day and one more hour of light, let's take a moment to celebrate the power of collaboration in scholarly pursuits. In the past month, I had the pleasure of working with esteemed colleagues from AMA and ACS on a webinar discussing strategies for making eLearning an integral part of a publishing program. I also moderated a session for NISO Plus on "Open Scholarship and Bibliodiversity", featuring six amazing panelists from across cultures and the globe. Additionally, I presented an update on the Manuscript Exchange Common Approach NISO Recommended Practice, a pioneering protocol for sharing manuscripts. Finally, I assisted with a three-part workshop on Peer Review Innovations at the Researcher to Reader conference. Stay tuned for an upcoming blog post, where I'll delve deeper into these last three collaborations! In addition to these collaborations, I'd like to share a few noteworthy items that are sure to pique the interest of researchers and industry experts alike. Check out a mainstream podcast featuring interviews with Brian Nosek from the Center for Open Science and Ivan Oransky of Retraction Watch, where they discuss ways to combat academic fraud. Ithaka S+R recently published a report on the digital transformation of scholarly publishing. There are also a couple of articles on open science, one covering the state of open peer review at PLOS and the other an OSF preprint reporting on the takeover of open access by commercial interests. CABI Digital Library has developed a new "Rxiv" for storing and sharing search strategies, which uses PIDs in a cool way. And, for those interested in AI, I recently read a long list of articles that I've grouped under the header AYE YAI YAI.
