I have received the #redmi Watch 5 Active for reviewing and this is my first impression of what seems to be a decent product. What do we look for in a smartwatch? - Looks - Function - Ease of use? Perhaps - Battery life? Sure 🚀 The watch looks fabulous, to be honest. It has a dominant wrist presence and looks classy. The metallic body exudes a very premium vibe. The silicone straps complement the design language. 🚀 The LCD is 2-inch wide and goes up to 500 nits in brightness. The lack of an LED is hardly felt. However, the LCD does mean that battery drainage will be an issue over the long haul. This also means that there is no Always on Display. (Cry more) 🚀 Does 'built-in Alexa' do anything for you? It might, for some. The virtual assistant from Amazon is now available on your wrist. However, it does not play music or help you start your workouts. 🚀 The IPx8 rating feels a little underwhelming, given that the Redmi Watch 3 had a 50 ATM water resistance. 🚀 The presence of Xiaomi's HyperOS does add to the overall user experience. It is user-friendly and very well-designed. The first impressions of the Redmi Watch 5 Active is on the BW Businessworld website: https://lnkd.in/gwze7UhE | Xiaomi Technology | Xiaomi India | BW Businessworld | #tech #review #techreview #firstimpression #firstlook #unboxing #redmi #redmiwatch5active #smartwatch #consumertech

Dear connect’s OnePlus Watch 2R is an upcoming smartwatch from OnePlus that is scheduled to launch on July 16. The watch is rumored to be a more affordable version of the OnePlus Watch 2, with a starting price of $199. Despite the lower price point, the Watch 2R is expected to offer similar specs as the Watch 2, including a dual chipset, a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, and 2GB RAM. The Watch 2R may have an aluminum chassis instead of stainless steel, but it will retain an IP68 rating and 5ATM water resistance. It should provide up to 100 hours of battery life and support VOOC charging. The watch will run Wear OS and offer more than 100 sports modes, as well as constant heart rate and sleep monitoring support. The Watch 2R is expected to be available in Forest Green and Gunmetal Grey color options. While the watch's design may not be as premium as the Watch 2, it is expected to offer similar features and performance at a lower price point. This could make it an attractive option for those looking for a budget-friendly smartwatch with advanced features. Key Features: - Dual chipset - 1.43-inch AMOLED display - 2GB RAM - IP68 rating - 5ATM water resistance - Up to 100 hours battery life - VOOC charging - Wear OS - Over 100 sports modes - Constant heart rate and sleep monitoring support. #snsinstitution #snsdesignthinkers #designthinking

With smartwatch dominating the market, I took the electronic digital watch route. And I want to share it with you guys because of its one-of-a-kind design. It is called the Benly Design Gladiator watch. This watch is a beauty for someone who loves retro-futuristic design. Inspired by the Terminator theme, it’s more than just a timepiece—it’s a piece of wearable art. I like that it's not a smartwatch, hence no notifications buzzing at me and just pure, time-centric design. The sloped case and angled OLED red digital display gives it a sleek, look. It features dual time capabilities, a 12/24-hour display, a day-date function, a countdown timer, a stopwatch, an alarm, and even a thermometer. Plus, the strap is incredibly soft and lightweight at just 101 grams, making it a pleasure to wear. If you’re into digital watches or collecting unique designs, this one’s definitely worth a look. #WatchDesign #DigitalWatch #BenlyDesigns #FuturisticArt

Samsung Finally Made A SmartWatch The FutureLawyer Won't Buy. One man's striking design is another man's big, ugly fashion statement. The new Galaxy Watch Ultra is expensive ($699), ugly (a great big square size), and no better functionally than the Watch 6 Classic that I have worn for a year, and could happily wear for a lifetime. Pairing the Ultra with a garish orange silicone watch band is like wearing a Seventies open shirt and bell bottoms to a funeral or wedding. I have owned every SmartWatch Samsung has ever made, and I will never buy this one. I suppose it had to happen. Like wrist watches from time immemorial, watch development reaches a stage where brand, and luxury, and design eclipses the reason watches are useful, which is the tasks they perform. It took longer with digital watches, because they are so much more useful. But, when the internals become standard, the externals become the only new selling points. Stick with a cheaper, but great, Watch 5 or 6. They don't call them "Classic" for no reason. https://lnkd.in/d3whJJdR

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Samsung is busy preparing a major update for Galaxy Watch owners, bringing a raft of new AI features to older smartwatches. In the meantime, the company has slashed the price of the Galaxy Watch 6 ahead of the rollout.Shoppers in the UK can pick up the Galaxy Watch 6, or Watch 6 Classic for £75 ($21.59 or ₦16,594.50) less, now down to £324.00 ($412.13 or ₦316,599). This is combined with up to £175 ($222.60 or ₦170,760) trade-in value for your old smartwatch. The highest-valued items Samsung will accept are Apple Watches, specifically the Apple Watch Ultra. The reason for the price cut might be because Samsung is about to launch the Galaxy Watch 7 next month at its Galaxy Unpacked event. New rumours suggest that the Korean company is planning to release 40mm and 44mm sizes, like the Galaxy Watch 6 range, but also a brand new Ultra model with a 47mm titanium case. The standard Watch 6 hasn’t been discounted yet, but it likely will be as we approach the launch. If you’re considering the Watch 6 Classic deal, it might be worth waiting until after the launch event on July 10th.U.S. shoppers can now get in on the action with a new discount on the Watch 6. Samsung has knocked $60 (₦46,200) off the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic, alongside upping trade-in prices, which max out at $250 (₦192,500) for the Apple Watch Series 8 or Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.The company has also included discounted Galaxy Buds as part of a bundle deal, bringing them down to $99 (₦76,230) from $299.99 (₦230,992.50). As is typical with Samsung’s earbuds, they’re often discounted, so you shouldn’t ever pay full price for them.Elsewhere, Samsung is continuing its Galaxy S24 Ultra double storage offer. Buyers will get a 512GB storage option for the price of the 256GB model. Samsung has now paired this with an enhanced trade-in price of up to $750 (₦577,500).To get that, you have to hand over last year’s Galaxy S23 Ultra, which isn’t worth it considering the new AI tools the device received recently. But S21 Ultra users can get a good $550 (₦423,500) for their handset, while iPhone 13 Pro users can get $350 (₦269,500) for their phone. There is a good chance that Samsung will drop prices for existing wearables even further to make space for new tech. Or, if you want the latest device, the company will run some aggressive pre-order deals with enhanced trade-in prices and a bundled freebie, probably a pair of Galaxy Buds. Those same Galaxy Buds are currently being bundled with all Galaxy S24 purchases. This isn’t as impressive as other recent Samsung deals in the UK. Last month, the company slashed between 22% and 38% off almost all Galaxy phones. If you’re a current Galaxy Watch owner who isn’t looking to upgrade, Samsung is planning to roll out new AI features via One UI 6—the first major update for Samsung wearables in a while. The update focuses on enhanced recommendations based on personalized health data, with new

If you want to be in the latest fashion, a smart watch should be your next purchase. There are many options and brands to choose from, but there is one that I don’t usually recommend too much, especially to those looking for a specific type of smartwatch. I mean the Mobvoi TicWatch watches and I have 3 reasons to rule them out as a first alternative. Before buying a smartwatch, it is important to know in depth all the features of the device and we are not talking about its specifications, but also about user ratings along with the support provided by each brand in terms of updates. It is true that these are not as decisive in smart watches as they are in mobile phones, but it is very important to be aware of the support so as not to see how the watch becomes outdated due to lack of new features. This is one of the main reasons why I don’t want to buy a brand smartwatch TicWatch, although it is not the only one. I don’t want a TicWatch watch When buying a smartwatch you have to pay attention to different factors, such as construction, screen quality, functionalities, software and price. One look at Mobvoi’s devices and can quickly see the potential they have, although TicWatch watches present 3 obvious shortcomings that always make me opt for other models. These are the reasons I have: Wear OS support is disastrous: The bad thing about these watches is that Mobvoi provides software support at the update level that leaves much to be desired. To give you an idea, in full deployment of the Wear OS 5 version of the Google system, the latest TicWatch Pro 5 has been updated to Wear OS 4, so there is a step behind the rest of the brands. There are cheaper Xiaomi or Samsung watches: When one is going to buy a device with a significant price, they usually look among the most famous brands and among them are Xiaomi, Samsung, OPPO… These have models like the Xiaomi Watch 2 for around 100 euros or the new Galaxy Watch7 for less than 200 euros, two highly reliable alternatives to TicWatch watches. Lack of innovation at the design level: If there is something I miss in the different Mobvoi smartwatches, it is the own personality. You only have to look at a Galaxy Watch to recognize it, but TicWatch watches are almost all the same and this greatly limits the experience for those looking for a unique solution aesthetically speaking. The only thing I would buy them for There is only one reason why I would finally end up choosing the Mobvoi TicWatch watches and that is their sports functions. These models are designed especially for physical activities and their monitoringwhere they achieve very good marks thanks to a set of high-precision sensors with an extensive list of physical state measurements. In this sense, they are one of the best sports watches out there, but the truth is that their shortcomings represent a significant burden for users looking for a complete experience. It is you yourself who must assess the use that you are
