🔋 Revolutionary Intelligent Battery Integrated System (IBIS) Stellantis, in collaboration with the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Saft, has developed a groundbreaking battery technology: the Intelligent Battery Integrated System (IBIS). After four years of research, IBIS is now ready for its debut. Key Features: 🛠️ Integrated Design: IBIS retains the same lithium cell chemistry but integrates the functions of the charger and inverter into the battery itself. This innovative approach makes the powertrain more efficient, reliable, and cost-effective. ⚡ Direct Power: The sophisticated control system generates an alternating current that can be directed straight to the electric motor, eliminating the need for an intermediate inverter and onboard charger. 🚗 Increased Efficiency: By simplifying the design, IBIS reduces overall weight, increases available cabin space, and lowers the total cost of the electric powertrain. 📅 Production Timeline: Stellantis plans to have this technology ready for production before the end of the decade. The systems have already been successfully tested on the bench. This revolutionary design promises to set a new standard in electric vehicle technology, enhancing performance while reducing costs and complexity. #BatteryInnovation #ElectricVehicles #SustainableTech #AutomotiveRevolution #CleanEnergy 🚗🔋🌍

Valeo and MAHLE have joined forces to develop an innovative magnet-free electric axle system, set to transform upper-segment electric vehicles (EVs) with power outputs ranging from 295 to 469 hp (220 to 350 kW). This collaboration aims to enhance efficiency and sustainability in the EV industry. The partnership focuses on developing an Externally Excited Synchronous Motor (EESM) technology, featuring an inner Brushless Electrical Excitation (iBEE) system. This cutting-edge technology promises significant performance improvements and a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional permanent magnet motors. The companies are also working on an advanced cooling concept to optimize continuous to peak power ratios. Their joint development agreement combines Valeo's expertise in electric motors and inverters with MAHLE's magnet-free rotor technology, featuring the MAHLE Contactless Transmitter (MCT). Prototypes are expected by the end of 2024, setting a new benchmark in EV efficiency and sustainability, paving the way for future e-mobility innovations. #ElectricVehicles #SustainableTech #MagnetFreeMotors #EVInnovation #CleanEnergy #TechNews #Valeo #MAHLE #EESM #technews #technology

Both hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs) represent eco-friendly alternatives to traditional engine vehicles. However, FCVs offer distinct advantages over BEVs. Firstly, FCVs allow for quick refueling similar to traditional gasoline vehicles, making them convenient and familiar for users. Additionally, hydrogen's high energy density means FCVs can achieve longer ranges compared to BEVs, utilizing the same vehicle space more efficiently. For further insights on how hydrogen FCVs are shaping the future of green transportation, access the full white paper here: Link to White Paper https://lnkd.in/gUuMW25x #SustainableMobility #HydrogenVehicles #ElectricVehicles #GreenEnergy YCP Consus YCP Auctus
Presenting YCP's latest white paper, "Driving the #Automotive Shift: How Component Manufacturers Can Contribute Towards the Rise of Hydrogen Vehicles."
