The past month marked a major milestone in my journey—directing my very first campaign shoot for Outerworld. It was a whirlwind of creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, and every second felt surreal. From conceptualizing the vision to bringing it to life with an incredible team, the process was equal parts challenging and exhilarating. Watching the pieces come together—lighting, styling, locations—was like seeing a dream materialize in real-time. There were moments of doubt, improvisation, and yes, a few (okay, many) learning curves, but that’s the beauty of creating something from the heart. The result? A campaign that tells a story, embodies our brand, and celebrates everything Outerworld stands for. Grateful for the trust, the teamwork, and the energy everyone brought to this project. Here’s to more stories, more bold ideas, and more moments of stepping outside the comfort zone. 💡 Would love to hear from fellow creatives—what’s one lesson you learned from your first big project? Drop your thoughts below! 👇 #Outerworld #CreativeDirector #FirstCampaign #Milestones #BehindTheScenes #BoldlyYou #FashionWithPurpose

There’s something to be said for not jumping on stories the second they break... Jaguar's bold shift from “heritage brand” to “brand with heritage” is one of the most talked-about pivots in recent years. Here's the stand outs for me: The tone. “Exuberant Modernism” and "Copy Nothing". How to carry this same meaning across cultures and languages? The colours & visuals. Out of this world, bright colours - it's unplaceable. And maybe that’s the point? The casting. Diversity on screen, but how authentic does it feel? Is "diversity as disruption" the right framing? The rebrand is clearly designed to be global from day one. But as anyone who's managed an international campaign knows, a "universal concept" is only as strong as its local interpretations. We’ve seen how subtle nuances (like language, tone, and cultural cues) can make or break a big global idea. Only time (and future campaign rollouts) will tell... Curious what everyone is thinking about the rebrand now that the noise has died down a bit?

🎨 Recently walked into a gallery and immersed myself in the artist’s world. Just as a great painting captivates its audience, an effective organization captivates its employees. Take, for instance, the use of color and light by the Impressionists. They didn’t just paint scenes; they painted emotions, atmospheres, and experiences. Similarly, an organization’s culture isn’t just about policies and procedures; it’s about creating an environment that resonates emotionally with employees, illuminating their best potentials and casting a positive light on their daily work. In both art and organizations, engagement is an art form. It’s about creating a connection, eliciting emotions, and inspiring action. How do we take inspiration from these artistic masters and paint a vibrant, engaging picture in our workplaces? #innerstandleadership #guishi #inspiration #wholesystemthinker

Designing feels smooth when our minds are relaxed, but the real challenge comes when we’re in the spotlight. Whether we’re working quietly or under everyone's gaze, stumbling is part of the game. It’s not about avoiding mistakes—sometimes tripping just adds a little extra flair! It’s about how we get up, learn, and keep going, even if we have to laugh it off. Let’s embrace every moment of our journey, whether we’re flying solo or the world’s watching. Growth happens in both quiet moments and those “oops” moments. Keep pushing, keep creating, and don’t forget to enjoy the ride! 💪✨ #DesignJourney #EmbraceChallenges #DesignWithJoy #KeepCreating

Do you ever feel like this? 😂 Sometimes I feel like I'm being stretched in all directions, but hey, it’s all part of the growth, right? And how is it November already? Seriously, where did the year go? It’s been such a whirlwind! I kicked off this year with "Growth" as my focus word, expecting steady, measured progress; happy to side step a little out of my comfort zone. But wow, the last six months have been anything but steady. So far, I zoomed out of the family photography side of my business and zoomed in tight on https://lnkd.in/gyuQcdW3, my business/personal branding photography service. That's seen a massive shift in both my mindset and client base. Then I officially launched www.huetheartist.com because I realised that creating art brings me inner peace and is a beautiful way to channel that extra creative energy that I've kept a lid on for many decades. And now I've stepped into the biggest and most exciting challenge of all...going all in on a new business with Marie Ferguson and Sean Ferguson called Creative Hearts Co. We will become the glue for the creative hearts in our community, providing them with a place, a space and a family to support, nurture and cheer on their creativity at every level. We are so close to the final stretch of officially launching this initiative with a physical gallery/event space and I can't wait to see the impact we will make in our community. More to come about this. I'm stretching but in all the right directions. Stretching myself to say “Yes” to new opportunities to open new doors and meeting incredible people has been the best decision ever! But just as important, I’ve learned to say “No” to things that no longer serve me. Funny enough, my days still have the same hours, and I'm still super busy. But now, I’m busy with things that light me up, open my heart and mind, and create long term impact and legacy. So here’s to embracing the unexpected opportunities, the stretching, and all the growth that comes with it. Have an awesome week, everyone! Hue x #greaterspringfield

🧱 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗢!🧱 Our team recently took a creative break and built this vibrant LEGO scene, capturing a playful outdoor world complete with animals, water, ferry, a cheerful setting. The design features a fun and colorful dog in the background (thanks to Anne Delmar), a peaceful river flowing through the scene and a ferry (thanks to Dan Peverill and John Gross ), and lively details like Amazon Peccy (Alan McCormick) and an alien robot + warrior chicken (by me). We tagged it "The Battle of Day2" (don't know why but something around that). This exercise wasn’t just about building with bricks — it was about collaborating, thinking outside the box, and letting our imaginations run wild. It’s amazing how such hands-on activities can spark fresh perspectives and strengthen teamwork. Whether solving complex challenges at work or building playful landscapes, the same principles of creativity, collaboration, and fun apply! 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 — 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆! 🚀 #Teamwork #Creativity #LEGOChallenge #Collaboration #FunAtWork

The apprehension to take on a large-scale creative project is a reality many of our clients face. Is now the right time? Do we have the team, resources, and flexibility to dedicate what is needed to complete this project successfully... on top of everything else that is going on? Staying motivated and focused can definitely be a challenge. Sometimes, it can feel like you’re just trying to keep your head above water. How do you maintain everyone's resilience and determination to stay on track toward our creative goals and vision? Our approach is to find opportunities in the work—whether big or small—that can spark inspiration. Let’s talk about a new brand theme, maybe we push ourselves out of our comfort zone a bit or do a little exploring and look to others to spark an idea or opportunity for innovation. And while these moments can be challenging, we embrace them and view them as opportunities to inject creativity. Deeo #summerseries #staycurious, #staymotivated ---- The imagery below was created using Midjourney. This is a prompt we used to create what you are seeing: head above water in a pool, aerial view, photorealistic landscapes, minimalist backgrounds, striped arrangements, precise lines, linear perspective, shadows and dappled light

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 When I launched His Day, the mission was clear: to create a space where grooms feel seen, heard, and celebrated. But what's kept that mission alive and growing isn't just the vision—it's the incredible collaborations we've built along the way. From wedding planners who have redefined how they include grooms to photographers who spend more time capturing grooms' stories, it's clear that innovation thrives when we work together. Collaboration has allowed us to: ✔️ Partner with forward-thinking suppliers who share our passion for change. ✔️ Introduce grooms to products and services designed just for them. ✔️ Amplify voices in the industry advocating for inclusivity and balance. This week, we launched our most exciting partnerships yet with Eternity. It reminded me that the best ideas often come when we step outside our silos and embrace the power of working together. Even with the short time working with the team at Eternity I have thought of so many possibilities for 2025 and beyond. I would love to connect with more forward-thinking or innovative businesses (regardless of industry) and grab a cuppa and have a chat - put your business in the comments and let's connect 🙂 👇
