Budget carrier Cebu Pacific is set to start operating daily flights between Clark and El Nido and Coron in Palawan starting March, following the reallocation of its CebGo flights from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). 2025-01-30 .

Angolan Air Carrier (TAAG) announced last week, in Luanda, that it will incorporate more flights to Cape Town (South Africa), São Tomé (São Tomé and Príncipe) and Brazzaville (Republic of Congo), from September 2, 2024. According to a note, the measure comes within the scope of the development of the network and reinforcement of frequencies in preferred destinations for passengers and customers. The Aboitiz Group, which manages Mactan–Cebu International Airport, will soon handle the operations and maintenance of Laguindingan International Airport. They have a P12.75-billion contract to improve this busy airport. This means the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) will no longer run the airport. Laguindingan Airport is located in Cagayan de Oro, a city in the northern part of Mindanao, Philippines. 🇸🇬 🇲🇾 Singapore and Malaysia are jointly constructing a new high-speed rail link worth £2.3 billion to significantly reduce travel time between the two countries. The project aims to facilitate easier travel between the neighboring nations, which share a history and multiracial populations. With the high-speed rail, passengers will complete the journey in just six minutes, compared to the current hours-long commute. Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke anticipates the completion of the link by January 1, 2027, with the train expected to carry 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction at a speed of nearly 50mph. On the subject of progress. Plans for two new international airports in Thailand: Andaman Airport in the South and Lanna Airport in the North. Both airports aim to accommodate 40 million passengers annually. Key details include: Andaman Airport in Phang Nga will cost approximately 75 billion baht, with development potential for private investment. A 6,500-rai plot has been designated, saving on expropriation costs. Lanna Airport in Lamphun will cost around 72 billion baht, with construction starting in 2027. The project involves private landowners, and completion dates are pending. Total investment for both projects is estimated at 150 billion baht.
