After 3 weeks sick (everyone in the DFW office got it), I am back at it.
Today, the Prove It! 2025 Conference Committee toured two of the potential venues for the conference. We looked at Marriott Hotels Downtown #Dallas Convention Center and Westin Hotels & Resorts#Galleria in North Dallas. On Wednesday, we will tour Gaylord Hotels Texan in #Grapevine and then make our final decision and get the announcement out. Questions for the community — 1. If you’re traveling to #dfw for the conference — do you have a preference for the venue? All three are top notch convention centers with their own pros and cons. Would love to hear your thoughts. 2. Westin and Downtown Marriott — our conference dates would be the week of January 20th. If we do the Gaylord Texan — it will be the week of February 17. Would love to hear your feedback on the dates. This is shaping up to be an amazing show where Vendors, Integrators and End-Users will come together to learn and prove it. The official announcement will be in mid-June and sign ups will start then. We will have limited space — 25-50 vendors and 500-750 attendees total. Based on the response — we expect to sell out across the board, quickly. We have a bunch of exciting announcements coming soon (partnerships, simulcast etc) so stay tuned! #digitaltransformation#iiot#industry4
It's the little things that mean the most. Will Guidara has mastered the concept of "unreasonable hospitality" and provides great reminders of how little, thoughtful actions can result in customer loyalty. Check out the example of unreasonable hospitality below. It's a good one!

I love this stuff. And it's not just for hotels and restaurants. Absolutely every service business should think like this.
If you're a creative agency and someone hires you to draft something up for their 10 year anniversary party,
If you're a outsourced staffing company and you're hired because the client just closed a big round of funding,
If you're an attorney and you're hired to draft closing docs for a sale,
... there are opportunities to do the job in a way that makes a client for life and creates a story they share.
It's good for your business and let's be honest, it's just more fun.
And if you're like, oh I don't have the budget to do stuff like this...
Your finance person here is saying, this is customer retention and acquisition costs. You should ALWAYS have the budget for it even if you have to get extra creative and limit the actual cash out.
This is often the cheapest and highest impact BD spend you can find.
So go blow some minds.

We're used to lazy soundbites in the world of hospitality like 'entertain your customers' and 'reward your clients', but what tangibly does this mean, and why is a sporting event the vehicle with which to do it?

"Once again, the French Open sees glaring gaps of empty hospitality seats."
🧐 Sponsors aren’t getting the value they expect, as many of these seats go unfilled.
💸 Event organizers are handing over hospitality boxes to third-party agencies, who then sell them off at steep discounts.
What’s driving this trend, and how can events better manage hospitality to deliver more value to sponsors and attendees alike? #FrenchOpen#SportsBusiness#EventManagement#Hospitality
