One of my favorite topics to teach is how to run an effective meeting. I am a strong believer dislike poorly run meetings. If they are done effectively they can save everyone hours of time and are wonderful ways to do team building. Check out this humorous take from 1976 (nearly 50 years ago!). How many examples of poor meeting management can you spot? https://lnkd.in/eYWMfcsE #EffectiveMeetings

The AzTEA (ISTE/COSN Arizona) Board of Directors began our board meeting on Saturday with this video... Key takeaways were then discussed as we set the stage for a powerful year. There were a lot of good pieces in this short video... I particularly loved the idea that success at the individual and organizational level is supported when the organization has "one vision big enough to fit all of our individual visions within it." How true is that? Our Board brings a mix of different talents, opinions, thoughts, backgrounds, voices, goals, and dreams to the table. Each board member has strong opinions, our own individual goals, and well defined thoughts on how we can best serve Arizona's educators. We have our individual visions. Our work to redefine our mission, vision, values and goals will ensure that we have "one vision big enough to fit all of our individual visions within it" as we continue to serve the educators of Arizona. https://lnkd.in/gYW8RyXN
