Today is an important day for global community: International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The day serves as a crucial reminder of the persistent global crisis: 🔸Violence against women remains one of the most widespread human rights violations 🔸It crosses all social, economic, cultural, and geographic boundaries 🔸The issue has been further exacerbated by global crises like the COVID-19 pandemic Violence against women isn't just a "women's issue." It's a societal problem that requires all of us – regardless of gender – to step up and create change. Real change starts with: 🟢 Teaching respect, consent, and healthy relationships from early childhood 🟢Challenging harmful gender stereotypes in our workplaces and communities 🟢Supporting survivors and creating safe spaces for speaking up 🟢Engaging men and boys as active allies in preventing violence 🟢Strengthening institutional responses and legal frameworks Every conversation we have, every stereotype we challenge, every time we speak up instead of staying silent – we're building a world where violence against any human being becomes unthinkable. #StopTheViolenceAgainstWomen #GenderEquality #SocialChange #CulturalChange #Prevention #HumanRights #NoViolence #CommunityEngagement

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women—a critical moment to reflect and take action against one of the most widespread human rights violations in the world. Did you know that every 10 minutes, a woman is killed due to violence? Globally, nearly one in three women experience physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime, often at the hands of intimate partners. This year’s theme, #NoExcuse: UNiTE to End Violence Against Women, highlights the urgent need to address this crisis. The campaign launches today, kicking off 16 Days of Activism (Nov 25–Dec 10) and concluding on International Human Rights Day. It is a call to action for governments, organizations, and individuals to commit to accountability, prioritize protection, and create safe spaces for women and girls everywhere. Let’s work together to challenge the norms, policies, and behaviors that allow violence to persist. Change is possible—and it begins with us.
