🤔 What do you think about the importance of businesses modifying their organizational structure and processes in light of digital transformation's rapid pace? [Continuing “Thursday Think,” a weekly series of robot (AI) questions and my human answers...] This is an interesting question, particularly because so many organizations focus on how to adapt digital products and services to their existing business model. And this isn’t an unreasonable perspective; a business-centric approach to determine how digital capabilities can support business processes and structures seems intuitive, and historically was often the best approach. However, this really misses the essence of digital transformation. Digitizing existing processes and folding tech capabilities into traditional business structures are often insufficient for organizations to remain competitive. Digital transformation means a shift to digital culture. Some technology groups have pushed for a digital culture shift and adopted greater agility, customer-centricity, and data-informed strategy. But, if this culture shift is isolated to digital teams or IT departments, the broader organization is destined for failure. These elements may sound like the domain of IT, but agility, customer-focus, and data-driven decision-making must permeate all divisions and levels of a business to be transformative. And a culture transformation will inherently drive a shift in strategy, including changing processes and structures to facilitate a greater focus on customers, organizational flexibility, and data insights. While this will look different for each organization, it's the business stakeholders that must step up to drive digital business strategy and growth. But, they need to do this with technology colleagues serving as trusted partners alongside them. In modern businesses, technology cannot function solely downstream of business strategy given the increasingly disruptive technologies in the market. 👉 What do you think? Shifting from a PEOPLE-Driven to PROCESS-Driven Organization In today's digital age, businesses, especially those who businesses are highly depend on internet, are actively pursuing the most impactful methods to foster growth, improve operational efficiency, and retain a competitive edge. In the agency world, processes are becoming a need of an hour the only reason is quickly evolvement of the technology, new AI tools and more competitions. Processes and people are both known as the backbone of an organization, but leveraging AI and implementing proper workflow processes is the new effective driver of organizational growth. One common issue we often encounter during the onboarding of new clients is the frequent change of account managers within agencies. With each new manager, there is a lack of familiarity with the client, resulting in challenges in understanding their requirements, products, and services. Here's an in-depth overview of how we addressed this issue by transforming from a people-driven to a process-driven organization. #1. Documenting Culture: Establishing a robust documentation culture within the organization to ensure all processes, procedures, and client information are systematically recorded and easily accessible. #2. Leveraging Task Management Tools: Implementing task management tools to streamline workflow processes, assign tasks efficiently, track progress, and ensure accountability among team members. #3, Utilizing AI for Workflows and Processes: Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into workflow processes to automate repetitive tasks, optimize resource allocation, and enhance overall efficiency. #4.
