You need to calculate the outlet #pressure_of_pump by using #pump_curve to #size_the_pipe or pipeline by using the following equation. Pressure for vessel +dp pump=pipeline Pressure Pressure of the pump is to be taken from pump curve (head in meter) and to be converted to Pressure in barg by using this equation. density x 9.8 x h(head). then you need to calculate the #shutoff_Pressure by using manufacture performance curve as well What will happen to pump #power_consumption if we #throttle the outlet flow ? ●If you throttle the outlet flow of a pump, the power consumption typically decreases. Throttling the flow reduces the load on the pump, requiring less energy to maintain the lower flow rate. However, it's important to note that the relationship between flow rate and power consumption can vary depending on factors such as the type of pump, the system characteristics, and the extent of throttling.

Under the same operating conditions, the heat transfer coefficient of plate heat exchangers is 3 to 5 times higher than that of tube heat exchangers, and the heat recovery rate can be as high as over 90%. It occupies a small area and has a large heat exchange area, which is suitable for occasions with limited space. The area of the heat exchanger can be adjusted by changing the number of plates. Due to its structural characteristics and relatively easy maintenance and cleaning, plate heat exchangers are more popular.
