The Weekend Struggle: Founders' Edition As a founder, I always have this perfect weekend plan mapped out in my head: "I’ll finally take a break, maybe relax a bit..." But somehow, it always turns into, “I’ll just do this one quick thing for work.” And before I know it, boom—Saturday’s gone! Today, I’m switching it up by joining a group of fellow founders and entrepreneurs who also love books. The idea is to unwind, read, and maybe get lost in some inspiring pages. But let’s be honest, it’ll probably end with us brainstorming the next great startup idea or figuring out why we still can’t fully disconnect. (Spoiler: because we’re founders.) Taking time out like this is not just important, it’s crucial for our mental health. Sometimes we need to step back and remind ourselves that no challenge is truly new—we’ve all been there. By encouraging each other, we find strength in shared experiences. So if you’re in the same boat, drop by for some light reading... or let’s just call it productive procrastination. 📚😄 #FounderLife #WeekendWarrior #EntrepreneurHumor #BalancingAct #BookLovers #MentalHealthMatters #NoChallengeTooBig Alisha Shaik Derrick Kimani Trizah Mwaura Adan Kalla Tonee Ndungu Zinhle Phakathi, (MPhil) Cheri Blair Alumni

The most priceless thing you can do for your mental peace? "Being conscious about your content consumption." Here’s why: In today’s information jungle, it’s all too easy to drown in endless feeds and trending topics. As entrepreneurs the last thing we need is unnecessary chaos clouding our judgment and a brain fog. Here's how you can find your way through the content pile! > Ditch the Junk: Just like you wouldn’t fill your fridge with junk food, don’t clutter your mind with low-value content. > Curate your feed like you’re building a dream team! Follow the innovators and thought leaders who resonate with your vision and inspire action. > Treat content consumption like a scheduled meeting. Set specific times each day to engage with content to avoid mindless scrolling. > Digest, Don’t Just Consume. It’s not about how much you read, but how deeply you understand. Remember: By being intentional with your content, you’re not just clearing the mental clutter. You’re paving the way for smarter decisions and a more fulfilling entrepreneurial journey.

Being a solo founder is mentally challenging. Very lonely & isolating at times… Trying to make it all work. Doing everything on your own. Questioning if it WILL actually work. Working on weekends. Solving problems you’ve never solved before. But also balancing health, relationships, & hobbies How can I squeeze in work, meal prep, meditation, hobbies, time with friends, dating, networking… Yeesh. I used to wonder… → Is there a playbook for all of this? → Am I the only one that feels this way? → If yes, why has no one shown me the playbook? → Man, wish I had other people to talk to about this. Sure I talk to friends & family, but unless they’re going through it too.. They just don’t really get it. The times I have spoken with other founders have been incredibly uplifting. But I also know that when I neglect my mental & physical health Everything else suffers. So I’ve created a simple gameplan to solve for this. A way to feel at peace, have energy, work hard, avoid burnout, and feel mentally sharp. All without sacrificing my output as I work every day to grow my business. In the last 2 years, I’ve coached 100+ men and now I’m stepping it up a notch… Using that same gameplan to help founders overcome the rollercoaster of hard work, burnout, exhaustion, lack of clarity, neglected health, & loneliness. So you can help more people, make more money, and still feel fulfilled while doing it. I’m running a small, intimate cohort specifically for founders, creators, & solopreneurs. Because we're WAY stronger together. We start on August 5th. (still men only) 🖤 PS DM me “founder” to learn more.

You make multiple millions of dollars and still feel unsafe. It’s why you don’t truly delegate to your team. It’s why you micromanage and feel the need to always be present in your business. Because without your hyper vigilance, the other shoe could drop at any time. Leaving you in a financial lurch - like how you saw your mother struggle to make ends meet. You told yourself “That will never be ME!” You’ve been stuck in fight or flight since. So, sure I’m gonna help you to implement a team building strategy that’s going to allow your business to run without you. First though, we’re going to do some very specific accelerated inner healing work to solve the actual root cause for your fears, beliefs, and behaviors. 👉🏾Because having a lot of money doesn’t heal you. It isolates you. Where is the SAFE space where you can go to heal and not worry about being judged or exposed? You already know it’s not your therapist because you’ve been talking about the same stuff with them for years and gaining zero traction. More awareness? Sure. Healing? Not even close. So if you are serious about doing the real work, the accelerated inner healing work, which makes any strategy a success? That’s me. The phenomenal news is I’m not just going to help you heal what needs to be healed, I’m going to work with you to implement an ALIGNED team building and development strategy that gives you the freedom to be more present in your marriage, other relationships, and life. You can start today by getting instant lifetime access to my High Powered Healing®️ Academy, which includes my signature self-study course Get Real & Heal®️ and the Abundance Accelerator. I burned out at 22. Not the "I need a vacation" kind of burnout. The complete mental and physical shutdown kind. I was grinding 100-hour weeks, living on energy drinks, and watching my health crumble. Because "hustle culture" told me that's what winners do. Plot twist: That path leads straight to the hospital, not success. Here's what nobody tells you about entrepreneurship: Your business can only grow as much as your mental health allows. After my breakdown, I rebuilt differently: • I work in focused 2-hour sprints, then rest • I hit the gym 4x per week (non-negotiable) • I take actual weekends off • I prioritize 7+ hours of sleep The result? My agency's profit was up 300% last year. My creativity is at an all-time high. And for the first time, I'm actually enjoying building my business. The secret to scaling isn't working more hours. It's working better hours.

#StartupLife #MentalHealthMatters #FounderJourney Hey, fellow founders! 👋 I wanted to chat about something super important—mental health struggles in the startup world. 🤔 As founders, we often ride this wild rollercoaster of excitement and stress, and it raises the big question: How do you prioritize your mental well-being amidst all the chaos? Think about it—what are the challenges you face on a daily basis? Is it the anxiety that creeps in when you think about finances? The sleepless nights spent worrying about your team or the future? The constant instability that keeps you on edge? Or that nagging fear of failure that lurks in the corners of your mind? 😟 Many of us try to tackle these feelings solo, but I wonder: do we really have to? Are we missing out on the benefits of leaning on a therapist, coach, or even just a friendly face who understands our struggles? 🧠🤝 Or maybe we find solace in sports or hobbies? Every little thing counts, right? Having been in the startup trench... Founders: How Do You Overcome Mental Health Challenges? Answers: https://lnkd.in/g8tyXsqv Let's Connect!
