🎯 Breaking Down: How I Cracked an Internship at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi as a B.Tech Student! Recently, my DMs have flooded with questions about landing an internship at IIT Delhi. Time to spill the beans! 🎓 💡 First things first - Why IIT Delhi? For the core Electronics domain, IIT Delhi is literally a goldmine! Most big companies prefer M.Tech/PhD interns, making B.Tech internships super competitive. But where there's a will, there's a way! 🚀 Here's my step-by-step journey (saving this post might help!): 1️⃣ The Official Route (Spoiler: Not the best way!) • Applied through their official portal (opens around February) • But trust me, this is like trying to win a lottery 🎲 2️⃣ The Smart Route (This actually worked!) • Did a small but meaningful project in VLSI using Cadence • Created a solid project report • Prepared a crisp resume • The secret sauce? Here’s some key data I recently came across that puts the growth of our industry into perspective. Deloitte estimates the semiconductor industry will need more than one million additional skilled workers by 2030. According to the Semiconductor Industry Association and Oxford Economics, job applications were up 79% from the end of last year to the beginning of this year. Other industries were only up 19%. For internships, applications were up 163% for the semiconductor industry. These stats are astounding and show our industry is growing quicker than ever.
