At NLR, we stand together with all Australians to honour Remembrance Day. Remembrance day is a day when we acknowledge those who died or suffered while serving in wars, conflicts and peace operations. Today is the anniversary of the Armistice of 1918 that ended fighting in World War I. The war didn't officially end until 28 June 1919 with the Treaty of Versailles. People in Australia and many other countries observe one minute's silence at the 11 th hour of the 11 th day of the 11 th month because that's when the Armistice came into effect. It's a time to honour our service personnel who died or suffered in service of Australia. We are grateful for their contributions, both past and present, in protecting the freedoms we cherish.

The level of savagery of the israeli army savagery, savagery that is backed up by most of its population and the United States, Canada and (most) European governments; is unprecedented. We will never forget that those supporters of genocide want to profit from human beings death, that they are death mongers and psychopaths rulers and elite hiding behind a pack of lies and rationalizations. The one amazing thing in History is that human beings will always seek freedom no matter how ruthless and brutal was the oppression, that’s why I believe, I know, that Palestine will be free, from the river to the sea; it will be free for all who like freedom and dignity to be shared by all. United in our diversity, we who fight back for equal enjoyment of human rights by all, stand steadfast, believing in the inevitable defeat of all forms of supremacist ideologies.

This famous poem written by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae during World War I. Its significance lies in its powerful portrayal of the devastation and loss experienced during the war, particularly in the fields of Flanders, Belgium, where many soldiers fought and died. The poem vividly describes the image of red poppies growing amid the graves of fallen soldiers, symbolizing both the bloodshed of war and the hope for peace. IWPG calls upon women worldwide to unite under the banner of peace, safeguarding their precious children and humanity from the scourge of war and violence. Through Article 10 of the DPCW, a sustainable path to peace is opened. The DPCW states countries should work with groups like peace organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and advocacy groups worldwide to to promote another tier of protection for peace, self-determination, human rights and development, through active fostering of civil society initiatives. The bloodshed of war can be avoided, and hope of peace can be achieved.

From June 27th to August 1st, 2024, 29 countries are participating in Exercise Rim of the Pacific (#RIMPAC) around the Hawaiian Islands. Pax Christi International is alarmed by the substantial allocation of public funds for these exercises, which could be better spent on disarmament education and global peace initiatives. We are particularly outraged by Israel's participation, given its documented human rights violations. We urge the other 28 governments to reconsider their involvement and make a stand against military collaboration with a state accused of severe human rights abuses. ❗ Join us in calling on all participating countries to shift their focus towards true peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond, through #nonviolent means, respect for human rights, and a commitment to #disarmament. US Memorial Day: Remembering Cost of War Memorial Day in the United States is traditionally a time to honor the men and women who have died in military service. However, it is crucial to use this day to acknowledge the broader and often overlooked consequences of war. We must amplify the voices that expose the true and complete cost of conflict, recommit to peace, and call for an end to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. As USA and GB appear to be giving Israel as much support as a rope gives a hanging man. As the obvious propaganda and info wars are being won by Hamas What then is the consequence of a Hamas victory. Probably the first army in modern times to win by deliberately targeting civilians; raping, torturing murdering them prior to taking and keeping hostages for ransome and then when faced with real soldiers stripping to their underpants and meekly surrendering. The consequence of a Hamas victory will be felt for generations and of course the one and only Jewish State in the world will be forfeit. Domino effect and ripples across the globe will be felt not least in moderate nations across the globe (including the region) and inevitably here at home.

an opinion that is a matter of importance: Firstly, there could be no better freind and ally that the state of Israel. Since 1948, the founding and prophecy fulfilled, an home with an existence for all Jewish Cmmunities based on a history that is filled with rejection, hatred, conflcts, wars,in an mid east since 1980, that has become both fertile and birth sectarian groups, ie Hamas, Hebezzalah, Al Quide, that with the military and exorptoration of terrorism, Russia and China , a close second, that has become both an existential and political threat to the state of Israel, who has for several decades offered multi resolutions of peace process to the Palestinians. Now, that Israel vs Hamas War, 2023, 300th Day, still many held in captvity, their familes is under an direct threat, what's that Ed Sullivan,1953 to 1973, direct because of an act to defend their existence. Now,more than ever, our prayers, full support. Out of darkness, Light, Israel , Light of all nations.
