Brief note about the program: @MoE's Innovation Cell            Availability of the programme in online mode has been arranged by MoE – IC for all the educational  institutions of India.            In Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College, Director Dr Divya Nalla and the Principal Dr MNV Ramesh initiated the programme to get arranged in the classrooms for the students to be aware of it. IIC Convenor Dr Bhaskar Patnaik made an arrangement for the programme in the classrooms through IIC Cooridnators and members. ‘India’s Techade: Chips for Viksit Bharat’ is under one of the pertains of “Make in India” scheme, to fabricate and utilize our own semiconductors. The programme was inagurated by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji via video conferencing. Prime Minister addressed the gathering, all over India and laid the foundation stone for three semiconductor projects worth about Rs 1.25 lakh crores, which are specially meant for semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Gujarat, and Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT), in Morigaon, Assam, and Sanand, Gujarat. The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of these projects in making India a semiconductor hub, acknowledging the virtual presence of industry players from Taiwan. He highlighted the role of semiconductor technology in India's self-reliance and modernization efforts, aiming to lead Industry 4.0. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of a reliable semiconductor supply chain, underlining India's ambition to play a crucial role in it. He mentioned various policy measures aimed at simplifying regulations and fostering growth in the electronics and hardware manufacturing sectors. Also he expressed confidence that these projects would create numerous job opportunities, particularly for the youth. He underscored India's progress across various fronts, including defense, space, and technology, signaling a move towards a self-reliant India. The event was attended by Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, and industry leaders. These projects align with the Prime Minister's vision to position India as a global semiconductor hub, creating employment opportunities for the youth and strengthening the semiconductor ecosystem.
