Transparency is your most underrated asset to secure top talent. Why? Simple. - Good candidates can smell BS. - Transparency builds credibility and trust. - It's unethical to be anything but transparent. - A players love when something is broken or needs to be built, otherwise why hire them in the first place? - Top talent love straight talkers. The whole 'post series X, hyper growth, perfect product traction, the next Elon Musk founder' narrative won't cut it. So, next time you interview, tell the candidate what's broken or needs serious improvement, deliver it to candidates as straight as possible and watch their ears perk. Ps. The ones that get really excited or start talking in solutions; well, you should probably hire them. Transparency > Inflating/exaggerating opportunities.

Scrolling through LinkedIn feels like being at a networking event where everyone is holding a "Hire Me" sign, and the recruiters are hiding behind potted plants. Job descriptions: "We're looking for a unicorn with 10 years of experience in technologies that have only existed for 3."
