And yet there's this conundrum, which is. If we want to invest in an energy project or if we want to invest in a transportation solution, by definition, it's it's going to take longer than 10 years and a typical fund has a 10 year life and you start to get all these perverse incentives about what to do. Greg, you have chosen to invest through Series B. Can you talk about how how you've come to grips with that? I think we've noticed that often we come at Sedo. And some of our companies that are doing the the harder stuff are gonna get through a moment where the market. Ignores them or is scared of them. And that can be really debilitating for an entrepreneur as is trying to build this business to spend so much time on the road pitching, pitching, pitching and always hearing the same feedback. Call us when you have 10 million of revenue or call us when you have this, this and that. Which they don't because they've been investing in the IP, investing in the technology, and they have maybe strategic partners for deployment. But those things take time. So we want to be the capital partner that can step in at this moment. The time in a privileged position, we already an insider, we know the business inside out. We know the good, the bad, the ugly. Usually we sit on the board and so if we're able to have conviction, then we can write that check that they're going to struggle to get from the outside and help them leapfrog or at least avoid a year of soul crushing trying to raise money and it gets in the way of the business.

Pitchdrive (Antwerp, Belgium) raises third fund of €40M to fuel entrepreneur-driven early-stage investing in Europe #pitchdrive #fund #tech #europe Boris Bogaert (Managing Partner) states: “The €40M investment fund will support 30 European startups over the next two years. Alongside the fund, Pitchdrive has established a new mentor network of 10 successful European entrepreneurs. This powerhouse network will provide personalized guidance and diverse expertise to propel Pitchdrive's growing portfolio”. Of their 50+ investments, about 70% have already raised new rounds within 2 years and first exits are in progress. Their European-first approach has led to an active portfolio in 11 countries, 66% of the startups being located outside of Belgium.
