We are making a difference! "In creative placemaking, partners from public, private, non-profit, and community sectors strategically shape the physical and social character of a neighborhood, town, city, or region around arts and cultural activities. Creative placemaking animates public and private spaces, rejuvenates structures and streetscapes, improves local business viability and public safety, and brings diverse people together to celebrate, inspire, and be inspired."* Paramount Theatre has taught me about the immeasurable impact of the arts on people and communities. Support the arts, your whole world will feel it! *This quote is from a study by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Vital Arts exists to address the multifaceted challenges that artists face today, but we cannot do it alone. We need your support to continue this critical work. Your donation, whether $5, $50, or $500, helps more artists pay their rent without sacrificing meals. It supports city-wide policies that value artists, provides resources for arts professionals, and fosters mind-changing conversations with stakeholders. Bit by bit, we are building a thriving arts ecosystem. Bit by bit, we are improving conditions for every artist, arts worker, and resident with a system of care and a big-picture approach. Bit by bit, we are creating a world that truly values the arts as vital. https://lnkd.in/gpyYdcjk

"Through constant experimentation and creative freedom, indie films allow for the emergence of new methods and trends in #filmmaking. They offer an authentic reflection of the human condition, providing a mirror to society that reveals our shared struggles, joys, and complexities. Indie films matter because they push the boundaries of what cinema can be, creating stories that resonate on a deeply #human level. They are a testament to the power of #storytelling and a crucial part of the #cinematic landscape, offering a diversity of voices and perspectives that enrich our understanding of the world." 🎥 🎥 🎥 [sic] Aditya, Dandy C. How much does the arts mean to you?
It's no joke! Arizona Gives Day is just one day away! Don't be fooled, you can make a donation early in support of your favorite Arizona nonprofit. You don't have to wait until April 2! You can make a positive impact for youth artists with a donation to Cultural Coalition. A gift of $50-$100 enables us to hire local Latiné and BIPOC artists to come to our after school arts program and festivals to lead hands-on art activities with the artists of tomorrow. Painting, dancing, storytelling, and music instruction are just a few of the opportunities we provide to youth of all ages. We bring these free arts opportunities to underserved communities throughout Arizona thanks to your support! Can you help Transformation Theatre reach our goal?
Transformation Theatre is celebrating our 5th year Anniversary! To celebrate we are launching our most ambitious fundraising event to date. In addition to our last two online readings, we will present These Arms of Mine as a full live production at the Bowie Playhouse in Bowie MD in July 2024. First presented as our last in person reading in 2020, producing our first independent production. WE NEED YOUR HELP In order to produce this new and exciting play, we need to raise $50,000. Simply use the QR code to see what amazing gifts we are offering for different levels of support. Thank you to everyone who has worked with us and supported us. We look forward to continuing presenting new plays that are by, for and about underrepresented voices!

Of course, it was an arts organization that came up with a creative solution to address cash flow uncertainties. Given the fluctuations in both funding and expenses since COVID, creating reserves in partnership with donors can help organizations through tough times. #arts #fundraising #strategy #theatre #museum #nonprofit https://ow.ly/XyJI50UboER

"I will see organizations apply to grants so much more than they do other things because the grant portal is on a website which is way less scary than reaching out to an individual person who might say no. I want to recommend that people really spend some time figuring out what alignment looks like inside of them and what alignment looks like for their organization. I talk about that a lot in the book — how you identify the assets of your organization and you understand a little bit more about what different types of funders you’re looking for — and then you really match that up." #arts #fundraising #theatre #museum #nonprofit #strategy https://ow.ly/b6K150UknRL

As a nonprofit fundraiser, the words "Giving Tuesday" will usually cause me to roll my eyes. When you go online, there is an overwhelming number of good causes and impactful nonprofits. Is it even worth the effort trying to stick out when EVERYONE is jumping up and down to get your attention? But at the same time, you can't NOT participate. God forbid skipping it and having a board member ask "What did we do for Giving Tuesday?" and it's worth acknowledging that there are some people who now 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘢 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘴. But that's why I'm excited about what we're doing at the Wichita Symphony. It's not just about what we can raise in 24 hours, but it's about using this day focused on giving back to launch a campaign for one of the most important things we do: 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺. One of the reasons I was excited to come to Wichita and begin working with this orchestra is because of its outsized educational impact. As the largest youth orchestras program in the state of Kansas, it now serves 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 in six different ensembles (including 2 bands, 2 string orchestras, and 2 full symphony orchestras). The program brings students together from throughout the region, breaking down numerous barriers and allowing kids from different schools, school districts, and backgrounds to build friendships and make music together. It's also great to see the Wichita Symphony's outstanding professional musicians engaging with the young people in this program as conductors, coaches, and private lesson instructors. Since arriving in Wichita, I've been continuously astounded by the number of people who tell me that they played in the Youth Orchestras Program whether it was 10, 20, or 50+ years ago, and how it put them on a path to professional success, community engagement, and a lifelong love of the arts. This Giving Tuesday, we're kicking off the #ComposeOurFuture campaign to raise money that will keep the program affordable and drive future growth so that all students with a passion for music can find their place. The campaign will continue until our February Masterworks concert, but you can help give us a strong start with a gift today. So if live music or music education have ever made a difference in your life, consider donating a few bucks to this worthy cause and join me in investing in the future.
This #GivingTuesday, we’re on a mission to raise $25,000 for our Wichita Symphony Youth Orchestras (WSYO) students! Your support helps keep tuition affordable and allows us to grow this incredible program. 👉 Make your donation here: https://lnkd.in/gh8uu8uv WSYO is the largest youth orchestra program in Kansas, providing nearly 300 talented students from 70 schools with the opportunity to learn and perform with our outstanding Symphony musicians. Thanks to a surge in enrollment, we’re thrilled to have added two new ensembles in 2024! 🎻🎺 Join us and #ComposeOurFuture by making a gift today. Together, we can inspire young artists and enrich our community!
