In late May, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer NewAge Industries, Inc. officially opened its first European production facility in Coevorden. The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) and NOM assisted the company in the process of setting up their business in the Netherlands. 🌍 Why the Netherlands? Amid the global challenges posed by the pandemic, NewAge Industries recognized the urgent need for local production and supply chains. The Netherlands, with its central location and status as a major transport hub for the rest of the world, emerged as the perfect choice for their expansion. The Coevorden site, a last-minute but perfect fit, was suggested by Wubbo Everts and NewAge’s CEO Ken Baker and local entrepreneur Jan Feijen immediately hit it off. The local breakfast cake (ontbijtkoek) also played a part in sealing the deal! 🔧 About NewAge Industries Origins: from a family business to a fully employee-owned company with 70 years of industry experience. Product: manufacturer of fluid transfer systems, producing high-quality tubing, hoses, fittings, and clamps for a variety of industries. New facility in Coevorden: the new facility in Coevorden will primarily focus on the biomedical sector for customers in Europe and Asia, with plans to expand the product range in the future. 🌱 Commitment to Sustainability - Zero-landfill company committed to encouraging customers to adopt the same practice. - One of the few, if not the only certified B Corporation in the industry. NOM is proud to have been part of this journey and we look forward to seeing the positive impact New Age Industries will have on the Northern Netherlands! https://lnkd.in/e_y9VsSF https://lnkd.in/eSqnQkbk AdvantaPure | Maurice LeCompte, MSME/MBA | Wubbo Everts #internationalization #sustainability #TopDutchregion TopDutch

Swedish heat pump factory already operating in Wroclaw!🥳 Less than a year ago we announced that Aira - a newly established company of Vargas Holding had received a decision to support their investment of € 300 million, and yet is already employing over 200+ people in this facility. 🟤The fast pace comes from the brown-field purchase of the plant which was facilitated by an agreement with another Swedish company, Volvo, which closed its Wrocław branch. Some employees were offered positions at the same location but under the new brand. 🎓Tomasz Wcislo - Director of "Aira 1 Factory" informed us that the company plans to employ ca. 2000+ on the site in Wrocław. Good infrastructure is just one of the reasons for choosing Poland as the plant's location. The most important, however, was the educated staff. 🗨️"The decision to support this project - implemented by our Swedish partners - is not only a confirmation of our mission to support entrepreneurship but also a statement of our shared vision of a future where technology and sustainable development go hand in hand. The Walbrzych Special Economic Zone also believes in such a future." - concluded the President of the Board of the WSEZ "INVEST-PARK", Piotr Wojtyczka. In the last 20 years (since joining the EU) value of trade between Poland and Sweden increased by 400% (as stated by Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce ( SPCC )). There are over 700+ Swedish companies in Poland. 🤝We're proud of the fact, that another company brings our countries closer as partners and that the WSEZ "INVEST-PARK" plays an important role in this part of the economy. Welcome to Poland, Aira, let's make history together! Thank you for the initiative: Martin Lewerth, Peter Prem and Harald Mix.

On a greenfield site in the Czech Republic, 1994 At the beginning of the 1990s, Klaus Thimm wanted to further orientate his company towards an international customer structure. Thimm's vision: to expand the packaging company into the Central and Eastern European markets. At the same time, Thimm recognised the economic upturn in the industrial nation of the Czech Republic, which he wanted to support with his packaging: "After all, everyone needs packaging for their products." After several trips and exchanges, it was clear that the next plant would be built in the Czech Republic. A 50,000 square metre area of land was acquired in Všetaty, a small town north of Prague. Klaus Thimm saw the opportunity to supply international customers at their sites in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic from here in the best possible way. And so the subsidiary THIMM Obaly (German: THIMM Verpackung) was founded. In April 1995, construction of the 5,000 square metre plant began "on a greenfield site". Production started in 1996 and the official inauguration took place in May 1996. Shortly afterwards, a corrugator is installed in the plant, which is one of the most modern in Europe at the time. The production area was tripled to 15,000 square metres and the number of employees almost doubled to around 100. In 1998, the Czech site passed the strict ISO 9001 standard, the first Czech plant in the packaging industry to do so. And the success story in the Czech Republic continues ... #75thimm #companyhistory #expansion #czechrepublic Pictures: 1: Planning drawing of the plant | 2: First construction progress in 1995 | 3 & 4: Inauguration ceremony | 5: Production | 6: Exterior view
