🚀 Showcasing Collaboration at Brainport Industries Campus! 🚀 Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of hosting the Forum Digital Technologies at the Brainport Industries Campus, where we demonstrated how we’re pushing the boundaries of innovation through strong partnerships. @Tim Groenen and @Remy Fennet showcased how our joint efforts are driving advancements—especially with the help of the impressive demonstrator at the Brainport Digital Factory. By combining the expertise of KPN , Weidmüller Benelux, TNO-ESI, and Cordis SUITE, we’ve successfully upgraded an existing machine with 5G and edge computing capabilities! It’s an incredible example of how creativity, technology, and teamwork come together to tackle real-world industry challenges. What made it even more exciting was discovering that members of the German Forum Digital Technologies brought use cases strikingly similar to ours! It was an inspiring exchange of ideas and experiences, proving once again that innovation knows no borders. [#Innovation] 💭 At Axens, we believe in our collective ability to seek out innovative solutions for future challenges. Since 2016, we have promoted and highlighted the creativity and dedication of our employees through the Axens Innovation Awards. 🏆 This challenge is open to our employees from around the world, who team up with their colleagues to submit projects on an innovation of their choice. For the 2023 edition, 21 shortlisted submissions were presented to and voted on by a jury made up of ExCom members and volunteer employees. For the 2023 edition, digitalization and the energy transition structured many applications and have been rewarded. 💡🌎  But innovation isn’t reserved to just one domain: excellent proposals related to so-called “conventional” technologies and our non-technical activities also won several prizes. Last week, we hosted the Innovation Awards ceremony in the presence of Quentin DEBUISSCHERT, our new CEO, to honor the employees who took home gold, silver and bronze in the four categories: Non-Patented Technical Innovation, Company innovation, Patented Innovation, and Innovation in the Production Site. Here is wishing all the men and boys out there a Happy Men's Day!  While Women’s day and Men’s day are both gender focussed events, the issues they address cannot be more different!  It was a revelation that the history of IMD primarily concerns celebrating issues that are considered unique to the experiences of men and boys, along with an emphasis on positive role models, which is especially "deemed necessary in a social context which is often fascinated with images of males behaving badly. In highlighting positive male role models IMD attempts to show that males of all ages respond much more energetically to positive role models than they do to negative stereotyping. Interestingly, the theme for IMD 2024 is "Positive male role models". So here is raising a toast to all the men and boys to celebrate their lives, achievements and contributions to the nation, society, family, marriage, and childcare. It was interesting to read that one of the six pillars of IMD is a celebration of every day working class men to be promoted as positive male role model, instead of just movie stars and sports men. And to focus on men's health and well-being: social, emotional, physical, and spiritual. So, here is to you to break the stereotype that is set by the society and to take care of yourself by seeking help when required!  Happy Men’s Day !
