The holiday hiring spree will begin in the next couple of weeks Target hiring 100K for the holidays Retailers' holiday hiring plans are starting to come into focus as inflation-stung customers continue to focus on value. Target says it will fill 100,000 seasonal roles this year, roughly matching its staff-up strategy over the past three years. The retail giant says the additional staff will work in stores or in supply chain hubs to increase gift-buying and fulfillment efficiency. Other retailers, such as Bath & Body Works and Burlington Stores, plan to beef up their seasonal ranks by 30,000 and 24,000, respectively. Even discount grocer Aldi is preparing for the holiday rush by adding 13,000 workers. #hiring #seasonalworkers #retail

Genuinely curious. I can understand why not to put someone's full address on a resume (safety/privacy reasons?). What I don't understand is why some people don't even include city and state (e.g. Middletown, New Jersey) on their resume? If you're applying for a merchandising position that requires some days on site, the recruiter will be looking for where you live. By not including that, they will need to reach out and ask you, or skip the extra step and pass onto other resumes that provided the information upfront. #whiteflag Dear Connections, I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart. I’ve been given a one-month notice at my current job, and I believe this decision is unfair. The reason cited is that I appear busy with my PC rather than doing picking tasks. In reality, I’ve been deeply involved in critical planning to improve operations. In the past two weeks alone, I’ve: 1) Conducted an ABC analysis 2) Set up new pickfaces 3) Improved the replenishment method 4) Addressed customer complaints diligently 5) Managed cycle counts effectively To accomplish these tasks, I needed to understand the floor thoroughly. Fortunately, some processes here mirror my previous employment, allowing me to expedite learning and focus on deployment. Despite my efforts and running around to enhance operations, my director perceives me as "free." I’m now in a challenging position, with just a month to find new opportunities.
