✖️ Using fake coupons is illegal and you could get more than you bargained for! Coupon fraud is when people use coupons in dishonest ways to get discounts or free products. Coupon fraud includes: 👉 Misusing Digital Coupons - using stolen or shared online codes to get discounts. 👉 Fake Coupons - creating fake coupons that look real but aren't genuine. 👉 Selling Coupons - collecting coupons and selling them illegally instead of using them as intended. 👉 Stacking Coupons - using more coupons than allowed on a single item to get a bigger discount. This kind of fraud costs businesses money and can lead to higher prices for everyone! The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit are working with stores to crack down on coupon and discount code fraud. Offenders may be prosecuted. A person is guilty of an offence if they have in their possession or under their control any article for use in the course of or in connection with any fraud. Do not be tempted to engage in coupon fraud. That voucher, QR code or Barcode you use could cost you a lot more than you anticipated! You could end up with a criminal record that could affect your future.
