❓"How do we know the money we give to charity will be spent well?"❓ This is the title of the cover story of last week's Financial Times Money Supplement. Here are the key takeaways from the article: 1️⃣ #Transparency is essential Charities should clearly communicate how funds are used and provide tangible results. 2️⃣ #Impact #measurement matters The rise of tools that evaluate a charity’s effectiveness helps donors see the real difference their money is making. 3️⃣ #Size vs. #Scale Larger charities might have high administrative costs, but smaller organizations (while sometimes lacking scale), often offer direct, meaningful impact. Aligning with charities that value #transparency, #accountability, and #impact #reporting can ensure that every pound or dollar truly changes lives. It's great to see the articles aligns with what we deliver at Impactful Giving UK 😃😃 #CharitableGiving #ImpactMeasurement #SocialImpact #EfficientGiving #ImpactfulGiving

📅 Next Up in Our Charizone Charity Performance Framework Series: Impact Impact is all about the real-world change that a charity brings about—whether through its programmes, services, or wider influence. Although it’s central to a charity’s mission, defining and measuring impact can be quite challenging. Charities are expected to report their impact transparently, following SORP guidelines. Given that impact is unique to each charity, creating a standard approach to understanding it is difficult, and this complexity is well-recognised. Charizone’s approach focuses on how charities prioritise impact in their reporting, which reflects their capacity to monitor and measure their effectiveness. Our framework divides impact into three categories: 🔹 Impact Framework Disclosure 🔹 Output Reporting 🔹 Impact Reporting We use 5 Key Performance Indicators to assess these areas. 💬 Are there specific aspects of impact you’re curious about? Stay tuned as we dive into Finance in our upcoming post! 💡

IS YOUR WEBSITE ACCESSIBLE? YOU'RE BEING WATCHED: Here at Lake Solutions, we have written before about the importance of making your website accessible. While it’s something we probably all accept that we need to do, public sector bodies actually have a legal duty to make sure their websites and apps meet accessibility requirements. In this case, public sector bodies include central government and local government organisations; as well as some charities and other non-government organisations.
