Raytheon’s Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) successfully guides Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) interceptors to defeat cruise and ballistic missile surrogates in a recent live-fire event. As soon as I finish my book "How to Design Air Defense Systems with Examples" I'll try to focus on the kinetic personal CUAS system I designed (not in the book) to start saving lives. The first example in the book is a CUAS missile that uses a Stinger launch tube and handstock that the world can copy. These things are a scourge. I'm making great progress on the second example medium-range air defense. Ballistic missile and hypersonic defense will hopefully be finished shortly after so I can publish.

Raytheon was awarded a USD 1.2 billion contract to supply Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces) with PATRIOT air and missile defence systems. These systems will augment Germany's existing air defence infrastructure with additional PATRIOT equipment. The scope of the contract includes the most current PATRIOT Configuration 3+ radars, launchers, command and control stations, associated spares, and support. “This contract reflects the global emphasis on advanced air and missile defence capabilities and the steadfast confidence in PATRIOT ,” said Tom Laliberty, president of Land and Air Defence Systems at Raytheon. “With this expansion, Germany will not only modernize its own significant air defence but enhance its interoperability with allies and further strengthen a core NATO mission.” PATRIOT is the backbone of air defence for 19 countries, including Germany, the U.S. and Ukraine. U.S. and Netherlands officials formalized a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LoA) agreement to purchase Lockheed Martin’s Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile Extended Range (JASSM-ER). With this agreement, the Netherlands becomes JASSM’s fifth international customer. “We’re honored to partner with the U.S. Government to provide the Netherlands Armed Forces with the combat proven and mission effective weapon system to meet their ever-evolving strategic defense needs.” said Scott Redmerski, JASSM program director at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. 🇪🇸💥 Spain has signed a procurement agreement with the US for Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement missiles and related support equipment.
