Dr. Ben Parrott, an associate professor at Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, and his team discussed with Fox Columbia, SC, the impact of rising temperatures on alligator populations. Their research shows that nest temperatures determine the gender of alligator hatchlings, and with climate change, this could result in gender imbalances, presenting new challenges for the species. Watch the video to discover what these impacts could mean for alligator populations and their future: https://buff.ly/3zhbaLm #UGASREL #ClimateChange #Alligators #Research #Conservation
