Hi Tracey, To answer your question bluntly, we keep voting idiots into office that aren't held accountable for reckless spending. Secondly, we sirens and waste money on R&D and technology that's beyond insanity. Third, every year, agencies are pressured to spend the SAME amount every year AND request more funding. If the agency fails to spend the SAME amount as last fiscal year, then their budgets get slashed. And I've seen some of the most retarded and wasteful on useless crap that it'll make your head spin. Fourth, this point is a double edge sword, but true inflation (the amount the governed over spends, known as deficit spending) destroys the purchasing power of the dollar, thus it increases the price every year. Lastly, the government is overcharged for just about everything. Parts, maintenance, contractors, new equipment, etc... it's overcharged to the government. The same government that recklessly over spends every year... It really is a repeating cycle of stupidity. But the People continue to vote idiot politicians that refuse to put the breaks on the government cycle.

Too much politicking going on and payoffs that lead to money laundering which leads to promoting conflicts that are unnecessary. Wash, rinse, repeat! See comments on Tracey’s original post; the folks know what’s going on but the criminal elements have “f’d” up our elections and managed to separate the folks from interacting on election days, etc. Mail-in ballots - convenience because no time; it’s the source of most of the criminal activity; Everything (well not everything that was one of my generalities) that creates convenience segregates the folks from interacting and having time for family - tax structure is another - white collar criminals create more taxes, fees, etc etc ad nauseum…humans need to spend more time together…need to be treated and structured more like owners in business so that they are more concerned about customers than having to cover their backs…it’s all so simple but the schemers, they create complexity and separate the folks to their advantage - stop and watch…YOU ALL WILL FIGURE IT OUT IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY!!! This was off the top of my head…cannot confirm nor deny…might create some interesting comments.
