Communities of …
This is a community of interest, CoI, a group of people coming together over a common interest, in this case beer. It seems that on top of cake, my colleagues and I have another shared interest, beer. Luckily for us we have a place like Esbjerg Bryghus where we can meet on a Friday after work and share a beer, or two. No 2 beers are the same and no 2 sets of tastebuds are the same, one person’s perfect beer is another’s nightmare. With over 16 beers on tap one is bound to hit your taste. At the very least we’ll have a good conversation about this week’s beers on tap.
As I round out another week, a successful one (see previous post), and I think about the paragraph above, I think about communities. One of my, OUR, success factors going forward will be establishing a community of practice, where a group of individuals come together over a common practice. It’s a detached, decentralised way of working, it’s different and requires a different mindset to succeed. But I know we have the right people to make it happen. Exciting times ahead.
Friday beer is proving that.
Thank you for showing up, and thank you for sharing in a time and place that’s been personal and safe for me.
Your Friday beer.
God sommerferie til dem det holder fri.
