Relentlessly dismantling the traditional concept of concrete and constantly delivering products better than expected. Main Countertop: 1) 14’9” long X 36” wide at 2” thick. 2) Engineering = 1” foam core with 2.5” edges and one center beam at 2” wide. Foam coring allows both weight reduction and superior strength. It transforms a traditional “slab” to a dynamic beam. Running length of top I used three #3 basalt rebar rods with one hybrid rod custom made in house. 3) Hybrid Rod = the back side of top isn’t fully supported and needed a little extra to carry the load , with zero deflection. My solution was wrapping two #3 basalt bars with carbon fiber line that was soaked in epoxy then coated with sand to increase the coefficient of friction. 4) GRFC - my proprietary mix design with punch strength of over 9000 psi and a flexural strength that’s off the charts. 5) Finish - an absolutely stunning oxidized corTEN | RUSTfinish. 6) Sealer - Ultra High Performance Hybrid Polyurethane… primed 3 times with 4 tops coats, 100% food safe. 7) Install - one huge slab + 10’ x 42” awkward “L” + 10’6” x 26” … from dropping trailer gate. Hauling everything down hill for 60 yards. Clean up and trailer gate closed. 3.5 hours.
