Building an online presence sucks at the beginning Especially in any niche that isn’t marketing-related... This is how building your brand usually starts: - Doubting yourself every day. - Weeks spent getting 0 engagement. - Not getting your first lead for months. Luckily time is on your side. Building your online presence isn’t a 1-month experiment. It needs time to compound. I can guarantee that after 12 months of: - Consistent posting. - Valuable content. - DM conversations. 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝙊𝙎𝙐𝙍𝙀 𝙀𝙁𝙁𝙀𝘾𝙏! How to grow your brand presence.... Being on multiple platforms has made a real difference for my business, and I’ve seen the same impact for many of my clients. Reaching customers across different channels—whether it’s social media, email, or SEO—really helps connect with people wherever they are in their search or purchase process. Businesses using at least three channels often see impressive results. The more often you see a business, the more likely you are to remember it—it’s the Exposure Effect in action. When a business shows up everywhere in the community, it sends a powerful success signal, boosting credibility and influence. Each time someone spots an ad in a new place, it reinforces the brand, bringing to mind all the other places they’ve seen it. A client relying on just one channel is like securing the front door and leaving the back wide open. People look in all sorts of places! That’s why I’m here to help clients build a strong, multi-channel approach to be where they’re needed. Want to learn more?

There are a lot of people on LinkedIn who advocate for building a strong personal brand. And, why not? Consider all the advantages: → Increased visibility - you can more easily stand out in a crowd → Credibility - sharing your expertise earns trust → Influence - you establish yourself as in industry thought leader And there's much more. But it takes work. A lot of consistent work, actually. If you're going to use social media platforms like LinkedIn as a personal branding tool, you have to show up in people's feeds on a regular basis. That said, it's worth noting that there are other more evergreen strategies on other platforms. They still require a lot of work, but the end result works for you forever - building your personal brand, and attracting clients on autopilot. → I've got it figured out on YouTube, and if you want to ease the learning curve there, you'll want to grab my free guide from the comments. _______________ *Follow me, Rob Deptford, for content marketing insights *Ready to automate prospecting and brand authority for your SME on YouTube? 54% of people are building a personal brand on LinkedIn – how do you stand out and be the top 1%? 👀 – Define your niche This is controversial but pick a niche and create content on everything and anything related to the niche so your audience knows what they can come to you for. I experimented with creating content on anything and everything but did not see results until I extremely narrowed down my content to a single concept. – Collaborative Articles Contributing to articles and positioning yourself as an industry expert will boost your engagement and introduce you to a new set of audience Your personal brand positioning and thought leadership is what will differentiate you from the crowd and collaborative articles is key. – Engage with your network proactively Actively engage with your connections and followers by commenting, liking, and sharing their content. Building genuine relationships and fostering a sense of community can significantly enhance your visibility and reputation on the platform. Are you building your brand on LinkedIn? 💭 P.S. I'm opening two slots in Q2 for AI founders who are ready to make a name for themselves and their businesses. DM me "NOW" to get started today.

Last month, I coached a founder and their marketing team. Here are 4 common mistakes they were making: 1. Only posting promotional content 2. Treating LinkedIn like a sales pitch platform 3. Reaching out to everyone with a “CEO” title 4. Ignoring engagement and relationship-building On LinkedIn, marketing isn’t just about closing deals—it’s about attracting the right leads. Here’s what we worked on together: 1. Building trust-generating content 2. Working on the positioning strategy 3. Engaging with their ICP consistently 4. Establishing a unique brand message... The result? more visibility, higher engagement, and more qualified leads. Remember: The right approach on LinkedIn builds trust, not just transactions. - Repost ♻️ to help others!
