In 2022, we embarked on a transformative journey by aligning with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Net Zero strategy. Our ambitious goals include: 50% Reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG Emissions by 2032 100% Renewable Electricity by 2026 Switching to Renewable Heating Energy Efficiency Improvements In collaboration with Armstrong International, we conducted a thermal assessment at our Verona plant, optimizing energy consumption and reducing emissions. Armstrong’s innovative heat pump technology, using low GWP refrigerants, is a game-changer in our path to sustainability. The project outcomes are remarkable: 1,604 tons of CO2 saved annually 760,000 cubic meters of natural gas saved annually €89,000 in annual savings through “white certificates” - with the support of CO.EN consultancy Together, we are making significant strides towards a sustainable future. 𝗜𝗠 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 € 𝟮,𝟲𝟱𝟭 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗶𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 The Netherlands Enterprise Agency awarded IM Efficiency €2.65 million under the SolarNL program to integrate solar panels into 10,000 trailers by 2028, with a goal to produce 100,000 solar-equipped trailers per year. IM Efficiency’s "SolarOnTop" technology, designed for both diesel and electric trucks, reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 10% per truck. This project aims to cut the transport sector’s carbon footprint and support the shift to sustainable, renewable energy in Europe’s freight industry. News Alert: Nordcell Joins the CircSolar Initiative! We are thrilled to announce that Nordcell has joined CircSolar, an project led by Axfoundation dedicated to creating a comprehensive proposal for the circular management of solar panels in Sweden. On June 12, Nordcell officially became part of CircSolar's reference group, collaborating with other stakeholders in this vital initiative. The project group includes El-Kretsen, Kungliga Tekniska högskolan (Royal Institute of Technology), REMONDIS Sverige, Stena Recycling AB, and Svea Solar. The reference group comprises AxSol Ingka Group (IKEA), Soltech Energy Solutions, @Sonat, @The Sunshine Fund, and the Svensk Solenergi (Swedish Solar Energy Association). Together, we aim to drive sustainability and circularity in the solar panel sector, from manufacturing to recycling.
