I want to share a special story about a flight attendant, Jill, who truly impacted my recent flight. I got upgraded to 1A and had an opportunity to sit close enough to Jill to converse during landing. I quickly realized Jill wasn’t just good at her job—she radiated a rare, positive energy that you don’t often see. It wasn’t just in her smile but in her eyes, her interactions with passengers, and the pride she took in everything she did. During landing, we had a conversation that touched my heart. Jill was a first responder in NYC on 9/11, spending days at Ground Zero. Despite witnessing unimaginable horrors, she carries an incredible light within her. Jill chooses to see the best in humanity—the unity, the strength, the selflessness. After all she’s been through, she remains a gift to everyone she meets. I’ve flown over 1.5 million miles on Delta Air Lines, but this is the first time I felt compelled to share a story with Delta. Jill’s resilience, kindness, and spirit remind me how much we all can choose to see the best in people. Here’s my call to action: We all have the power to shift our mindset. Take a moment to get to know the people who serve you. Leave positive feedback. It’s not just about giving—it’s about your own mental health, your spirit, your longevity. When you start seeing people like Jill and filling yourself with gratitude, your life will change in ways you can’t imagine. Pay it forward by sharing your stories and spreading gratitude to inspire others to do the same. We all become what we focus on. Our world is not just politics, wars, and financial markets.
