I've gotten a lot of positive reaction on the clips I posted on how to think about the importance of using the fractional label and the importance (or not) of building awareness of the benefits of hiring a fractional CXO. I've uploaded the entire video below but here is the tl;dr: 🔹 Clients have been hiring fractionals for the last 75-100 years. They know what a fracitonal is ... oh wait, they know it as a part-time executive and you changed the jargon which created confusion. That sucks! 🔹 The label is important to you. A part-time executive used to mean someone who only wanted to work a total of 10-20 hours a week but this is your full-time job. But this distinction is far more important to you than to your clients. 🔹 What is important is differentiating yourself not with your label, but with your genius (aka your intellectual property). I go into a lot more detail in the video. Shoot me a DM to tell me if you agree or don't agree and why. Links in the comments to our YouTube channel and podcast.

Have you ever felt like you’re buried under endless admin tasks? I used to spend hours managing social media posts, uploading podcasts, and adding blogs to my site. Sound familiar? Here’s the solution that changed everything for me: Delegate. You don’t have to do it all yourself. Sure, writing the blog or creating the post is your genius zone. But the posting, scheduling, and uploading? That’s where you bring in help. If you’re overwhelmed with admin, it’s time to think about hiring a VA. It saved me, and it can save you too. Conversation between Scott Galloway and Nick Bloom, a Stanford Professor and the “Guru of Remote Work” about the future of work as part of the Pivot podcast. Prof. Galloway: “What type of culture or company would you be advise young people to look for and ultimately deploy human capital when they're young? What are the components of culture that you think young people should be looking at when they choose an employer?” Prod. Bloom: “I am generally steering them [students] away from fully remote companies. So fully Remote is great, but I suggest generally do that later in your career… I worry a bit [about fully remote for people in their twenties]. I worry about the ability to learn, to network, etcetera.” Just sayin… https://lnkd.in/eunYwKjT

I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on Remote's podcast, where we took a unique spin on my article "Four Questions for Your Future Manager." This article was originally written on my website to guide job seekers, but the team at Remote asked me to flip the script and provide valuable insights for hiring managers on how to prepare to answer tough questions from job candidates in the world of remote and hybrid work. If you're a hiring manager, are you prepared to answer these questions?: 1. How is performance managed and evaluated in your company? 2. How is creativity encouraged and recognized in your organization? 3. What defines the culture of your organization? 4. What do you do to address and minimize potential proximity bias? 🎙️ Learn what a good answer sounds like by checking the first comment in this post for the link to the full podcast episode. This conversation is crucial in today's evolving work landscape. Thanks to Pedro Monteiro de Barros, Christopher Olson, and Hallie Wiseman for inviting me to have this discussion. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on remote work and effective hiring practices. Let's continue the discussion in the comments! #RemoteWork #Hiring #TalentAcquisition #Podcast #CareerGrowth #SarahAviram #FlexibleWork

I owe a special thank you to Dave Zoller, CFP® for sharing the idea for this episode with me. He said, “You know, Brad, you should do a podcast episode on hiring an EA with Brooke. I think it could really help a lot of financial advisors out there.” With that in mind, this week’s episode features Brooke Martin, who I’ve been so fortunate to have working beside me since the early days of Triad Partners. We get into: - Why an executive assistant is the #1 missing role in financial firms. - 4 key traits to look for when hiring. - Optimizing inbox and calendar management to control your most valuable resource: TIME.
