👨🏻🎓"Student Forum the Myth" ✖️
"Are they IIT'ns of a Private College" 🏣
Hi there, fellow professionals and sharp minds!
Coming up to my final year of B.Tech, I'm thinking about how important clubs, forums, and committees are to our campus community. These platforms surely offer great chances for both professional and personal development, as well as a sense of community and togetherness. The false belief that belonging to these groups is the only way to succeed and be recognized in college or beyond, however, is depressing to see.
There is a common belief that a "normal" student who is not actively involved in clubs or committees has less worth in this age of intense competition. Both technically and non-technically, I saw smart students who might not belong to any formal organization but succeed.
It raises the question: Is membership in a club or forum a single proof of success? As varied as our skill sets are, the truth is that colleges experiences are too. Although clubs and committees provide excellent platforms, the extraordinary abilities of people who chose a different route should not be overlooked. It's time to recognize and cherish the inherent worth of unique abilities and skills that might not fit the traditional structure.
To others in my class and juniors, who might feel isolated by the club culture, keep in mind that your value is not based on the badges you wear. Your abilities are great and deserving of respect. Joining a club or forum may increase your visibility, but it doesn't define your skills.
Let's challenge protocol and remove the myth that only members of the club are important. Accept your abilities, put your best foot forward, and take pride in unique contributions you make. It's time for the college community to acknowledge and value the wide range of skills that are present outside of the club.
So, don't worry if you haven't yet found your club or committee match. Your experience and abilities are equally real and important. Let's recognize that excellence may take many different shapes and celebrate the range of talent present in our college.
Recall that your story is written in your abilities and the difference you make, not in a club. Let's support an environment where all students are valued for their unique journeys, regardless of the clubs or forums they belong to.
Let's smash assumptions, value individuality, and recognize the unique genius that each of us offers to our educational community.
