As we celebrate National Entrepreneurship Month and our President and CEO, Laura (Gibson) Hopson's 6 year anniversary at EM Services, it's crucial to acknowledge the challenges many startups face. Statistics show that nearly 20% of new businesses close within their first year, and about 50% don’t make it past the five-year mark, and 65% don’t make it past the 10 year mark. But for diverse suppliers and minority-owned businesses, the hurdles are often steeper due to barriers in access to resources, networks, and funding. At EM Services, we’re committed to changing that narrative by supporting diverse suppliers and helping their businesses thrive. Through mentorship and advocacy we focus on empowering these entrepreneurs and bridging gaps in access to key opportunities. Our work with diverse businesses ensures that they’re better positioned to sustain and grow in competitive industries. Together, let’s create a landscape where diverse businesses not only survive but thrive. 🌍 #NationalEntrepreneurshipMonth #SupplierDiversity #EMServices #Mentorship #DiverseBusiness #MBE #WBE #DEI #EconomicInclusion Sources: https://lnkd.in/dwskhjrA https://lnkd.in/dGikpaMP
