Thanks Dr Shan Hussain for this powerful speech at LMC conference highlighting the hugely damaging impact of CQC inspections on GP practices. These are not measuring quality, but are a box ticking exercise using questionable parameters resulting in a discredited and unfair single word rating system, that is misleading patients and the public. The inspections are doing more harm than good, demoralising clinicians and staff and affecting their mental health, as well as diverting huge amount of time away from patient care into slavishly spending weeks ticking questionable and excessive bureaucratic tick boxes. These inspections need to stop and be replaced by a meaningful and supportive system focused on genuinely improving quality of care.

We're thankful for Byron E. Shinn, who received the 2024 USF Donald A. Gifford Service Award. I really enjoyed writing this article about the Texas Christian University football team! The Big 12 conference is hosting its football media days ahead of another exciting season! Coach Sonny Dykes talked to the media about what he sees in this year’s team and what he has learned in his role as head coach for the last two seasons. This is a flawed system. Why has HR become a non human approach system? I tried to understand it by trying to make my CV as per a particular job discreption. 2 requirements which were not complusory but would have been an advantage, which i did not have, gave my current CV a 65% match… Position School administration & secretary Missing experience was 1) HR management software 2) educational setting Both were mentioned but not a complussion So if it wasnt a complusion why a drop to 65% I added these 2 points and it was a 100% match… In the process of a perfect match, this system has demeaned a good resume that could have been a good fit, if the complusory requirements were truly sort after. Isnt this a waste of the company time & resources and an applicant time? There are suggestions floating around on social media to add the requirements even if you have to lie just to get a call… is this good? Is this not cheating? Dear HR, Perfect people, perfect resume, do not exist. Please explore CV with a human touch not flawed systems. We are humans applying, do not let systems just our experience and profiles. Thank you. #jobseekers #ats #HR

Napoleon once remarked that the moment of greatest vulnerability is immediately after victory. It’s a familiar concept not only in military history, but also in business, sports, and investing. Most environments are dynamic, continuous efforts. The game or battle is never over. There’s always another round, perhaps tomorrow, maybe next year, or a decade from now. Whether it’s the win you had last week, the successful product launch, or the decisive battlefield victory, the pursuit doesn’t end, because competitors and enemies never stop. There are 4 smart ways to handle a victory: 1) celebrate, but in moderation, 2) acknowledge the role of luck, 3) prepare for the opponent’s response, 4) counteract the “Success Disease” Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gciFtbzi

What an incredible message about facing fear head on and how we can all work to be more courageous by being vulnerable enough to work together to find solutions. This can be applied to all areas of life. If you are a leader I ask you this: Are you courageous enough to be vulnerable so that you can truly serve those who follow you? People often put leaders on a pedestal. It’s a natural thing to do when you respect someone. However, it often overshadows the many failures that the leader has overcome to get them to their current point in life. Leaders, you have a DUTY to be vulnerable with those that deserve it, but especially with your direct followers. Help them grow from your past struggles and subsequent lessons. Share your wisdom. Share your passion. LEAD the way!

current top producer of natural gas globally is USA not Russia not Qatar not Bahar is not Saudi Arabia , seems Bitcoin made to be natural gas currency .. moving from Saudi petrodollar .. and this natural gas probably responsible for increasing methane and increasing carbon dioxide in lower atmosphere and , storing more heat over the land but not the whole atmosphere , the thing people like to call as climate change (which is not actually) .. it is probably only increasing temperature of lower portion of the atmosphere .. probably we need to start talking about natural gas pollution in atmosphere .. #gas #temparature #methane #atmosphere
And the Winner is… Source: Michael A. Arouet
