What a journey this has been: "FINISH WHAT YOU START" A transformative, eye-opening and insightful learning experience on Product Management and Leadership guided by the respective Guru Masters Chidi Afulezi and Dr Ruwayne Kock, supported by these amazing coaches Ruvimbo Chikwava Margaret Ondeng, CPM and the great staff at the Center for a Re-imagined Africa. As I transition from the Public Sector back to the Private Sector with the launch and management of a couple business ventures based in Gabon and across Africa. These tools I acquired still apply: Falling in Love with the Problem and becoming ethical entrepreneurial leaders. 💸💸💸💸 We made it through this 13-month journey by being courageous and resilient Leaders. Looking forward to seeing the impact my committed Fellows will have in their respective countries, becoming the change we want to see in African Leaders and collaborate on various projects to build on this strong Alumni network that we have. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 African governments need to create enabling environments for private sector to drive the economy. I was delighted to virtually join the Africa Education Conference currently taking place in Mauritania as the Africa Representative for UNESCO #SDG4 Youth &Student network, Education 2030 UN ! During the session on Leadership and Accountability in Education: What Works and What Next? I shared key insights on the way forward for education in Africa: • Africa’s youth are at the forefront, designing innovative solutions to improve access, bridge learning gaps, and enhance quality. Scaling these youth-led initiatives across the continent is critical for meaningful impact. • To achieve transformative change, we call on African leaders to make actionable commitments. This includes allocating over 20% of national budgets to education, in line with the global benchmark, and establishing robust accountability mechanisms to ensure these resources address barriers such as access, equity, and quality. Leadership and accountability must deliver tangible outcomes for Africa’s children and youth. This conference is a vital platform to solidify these commitments and inspire bold, collective action. At the launch of the Pakistan Youth Leadership Initiative (PYLI) Mapping Report, an insightful analysis of the challenges and opportunities facing Pakistani youth across various sectors being held at National University of Science & Technology (NUST). PYLI is a three-year project led by the British Council Pakistan that is being implemented in partnership with the Government of Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Higher Education Commission, Water Aid Pakistan, UNDP Pakistan, local CSOs, and public universities and co-funded by Education Above All Foundation (EAA) programme "Reach Out To Asia" (ROTA).
