Somebody on LinkedIn asked exactly how it works when you choose to partner up with a Virtual Assistant. Their question was really about trust. I heard "How can I ensure that somebody I've never met before will be trustworthy and respect the confidentiality of my business". Here is my response for anyone curious as to how working with a virtual assistant works: ⭐ We have a relationship built on trust. This is earned. ⭐ I do anything from organising muddled inboxes to creating email campaigns, managing socials to booking holidays. ⭐ I get full access to email if necessary to a task, but I'm registered with the ICO which upholds high standards of data protection. ⭐ We communicate via WhatsApp (voice notes), email, and video call. It really depends on the client. ⭐ We run our own businesses. Our job is to help you with yours. We work with you, not for you and therefore we work with pride, autonomy and care to ensure you're a satisfied client. ⭐ Trust, transparency, and good communication is key to successful client relationships. Sometimes your clients needs change and a VA is no longer the right fit for them. Their business evolves or the model changes - whatever the reason, it happens. Earlier this year, it happened with one of my clients. It is of course sad to see them go, but an exciting time in the business' life! When the time comes, it’s important to ensure the client will be moving on with their best foot forward - for this client, it was by helping them to hire a permanent executive assistant, including; ⭐ Assisting with the job description ⭐ Helping to organise the interviews ⭐ Onboarding and training the new EA Hiring can be a long and tricky process, and one that’s really important to get right - who better to assist than someone who is deeply familiar with the role the new employee will be taking on! Ensuring my clients needs are met is always my top focus - so when they change (even if they change to needing something that a remote VA cannot provide), I make sure they’re in the best position to succeed.
