We are honoured and privileged to have been part of the launch of the PM E-DRIVE Scheme, which promises to revolutionize India’s sustainable mobility landscape. The event featured a vibrant display of e-vehicles, including Numeros' innovative Diplos. We had the esteemed opportunity to participate in the flag-off ceremony for e-2Ws and e-3Ws, where we took part in a symbolic ride, representing the nation's commitment to electric mobility. Building upon the success of FAME II, the scheme aims to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption, develop robust charging infrastructure, and strengthen India's EV manufacturing ecosystem. Unveiled at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, by Union Minister Shri HD Kumaraswamy, this initiative shall be implemented from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026, with an outlay of ₹10,900 Crore. The government has significantly increased its allocation from ₹11,000 crore to ₹14,000 crore for the next two years. This strategic move not only reinforces India's dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and building sustainable cities but also opens up immense opportunities for businesses in the green technology sector. As a pioneering force leading India’s EV innovation, we at Numeros Motors are excited about the opportunities this initiative brings. We remain committed to contributing to India's sustainable transportation goals and look forward to playing a vital role in this electric revolution. Book now: https://lnkd.in/e-BrQsYZ . . In FY2024, the landscape of electric cars (E-Cars) in India witnessed significant advancements and shifts, highlighting evolving trends within the automotive industry. E-Car sales soared to over 99,000 units, marking an impressive 82% growth compared to FY2023. This surge is primarily driven by the introduction of electric fleets by ride-hailing companies, which has played a crucial role in accelerating the adoption of E-Cars. However, despite the notable increase in sales, the overall adoption rate within the E-Car segment has remained sluggish from the outset. This slow adoption can be attributed to a lack of robust policy support and a limited variety of models available to consumers. Without strong governmental incentives and a broader range of choices, potential buyers may hesitate to transition from traditional vehicles to electric options. The data underscores the importance of addressing these challenges to sustain the growth momentum in the E-Car market. Enhanced policy frameworks, increased model variety, and continued investment in charging infrastructure will be pivotal in driving further adoption of E-Cars in India.
