It seems that in today's world, there is a fear of morals, as evident in that we only have one day to be thankful, one day to appreciate each of one's parents, seemingly very hard to be held to these morals for more than one day. Should we cave to such standards? Find out about this question and more at oorah.org/asktherabbi #asktherabbi #atr #Thanksgiving

🍁 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 🍁 Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Today, I want to share a simple yet profound lesson that has shaped my perspective: "𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗶𝗳 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿." This was the advice given to me during a challenging #time by #people who not only offered words but extended a helping hand when I needed it most. Their kindness not only helped me navigate through that difficult period but also reminded me of the power of #community and #support. It’s amazing how small acts of generosity can ripple out and create waves of #positive change. This #Thanksgiving, I’m deeply thankful for all the incredible people in my life as well as to my #LinkedInnetwork. Your support, insights, and engagement have been invaluable. And as we celebrate, I encourage you to think about the ways we can continue to help and uplift each other. 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱? Wishing you a heartfelt day of gratitude and connection. 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. 💼🧡 #Thanksgiving2023 #Gratitude #LinkedInConnections #SupportEachOther #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Thankful #Thanksgiving2023 #FamilyGathering #HarvestSeason #ThanksgivingDinner #ThankfulHeart #GratefulLiving #ThanksgivingTraditions #Blessings #ThanksgivingVibes #Community #ThanksgivingFeast #GivingThanks #ThanksgivingJoy #CelebrateTogether #ThanksgivingSpirit #ThanksgivingMemories #ThanksgivingLove

The holidays are a time for gratitude, connection, and celebration—but staying sober during Thanksgiving can bring unique challenges. Here are a few tips to help you navigate the day with confidence: 🍂 Have a Plan: Decide ahead of time how you’ll handle situations involving alcohol, and bring a supportive friend or accountability buddy if needed. 🍂 Focus on Gratitude: Engage in activities like sharing what you’re thankful for, volunteering, or spending time with loved ones who support your journey. 🍂 Know Your Exit Strategy: It's okay to leave if you feel uncomfortable. Protecting your sobriety is the ultimate priority. 🍂 Bring Your Own Fun: Board games, music, or favorite snacks can add joy and help shift the focus from alcohol to meaningful connection. Sobriety is a reason to celebrate, and Thanksgiving is the perfect time to honor your journey. My graditude journey. As I look back over the past year, I’m reminded of the importance of showing up and holding myself accountable for my own growth. Facing myself hasn’t always been easy—leaning into fear, learning from failures, and letting go of insecurities. But through it all, I’ve learned how powerful it is to feel good in my own skin and truly trust myself. Now, I know that whatever I set out to do, I am capable. Every connection I make, I know I’m worthy of someone’s time and energy. But getting here hasn’t been a simple journey. Building self-love and self-trust is hard work. It takes courage to confront insecurities and commit to nurturing yourself. It’s easy to use insecurity as an excuse, but I’ve learned that self-love is the real recipe for success. When you believe in your worth, you’re unstoppable. Here’s to the journey of self-discovery, growth, and embracing our full potential. With gratitude,
Today, we take a moment to be grounded and thoughtful, giving thanks for everything that serves us and helps us grow. Thanksgiving is a beautiful time to reflect on what may not be serving us, to embrace the opportunity to learn, and to find gratitude in every experience—even in those moments when we feel the weight and compression of life. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our communities, for everyone who has been a part of our journey, and for those we’ve yet to meet. Together, we’re stronger. Wishing everyone a warm and reflective Thanksgiving! 🧡 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #EmpowerWomenCanada #ReflectAndGrow #CommunitySupport
