Thrilled 🎉 to share that my first research as a PhD candidate at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur has been accepted for presentation at The 22nd International Symposium on Network Computing and Applications #NCA2024! Title of the Paper: NeuroSense: Smartwatch-based Early Detection Framework for Alzheimer's Disease In this study, we introduce NeuroSense, a groundbreaking framework that harnesses the power of smartwatch technology for the early prediction of Alzheimer’s Disease. By leveraging wearable sensors, NeuroSense continuously tracks key health metrics and cognitive patterns, providing real-time alerts for potential signs of cognitive decline. Early detection is a game-changer in the battle against Alzheimer's Disease, as it enables timely interventions and personalized care strategies that can slow the disease’s progression. NeuroSense aims to capture the subtle physiological changes that often precede cognitive decline, offering a non-invasive, user-friendly solution for monitoring brain health. This approach holds the potential to transform patient care by providing a proactive tool that empowers both individuals and healthcare providers, making early detection of Alzheimer's more accessible and effective. Culture of innovation in India has long been appreciated worldwide, with special acclaim to its predilection to "jugaad". This widely populated mix-and-match culture however exists mostly in-silos, without any interconnectedness between relevant stakeholders. With the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, our recently published article discusses the urgent need of collaboration in the electronics domain between three societal pillars viz. academia, government and industry. The article further deliberates on how an agriculturally-dominant country like Taiwan became a semiconductor powerhouse through 1980s, as a case study. Consequentially, the necessity of job generation and investment in R&D towards realizing the ambitious goal of becoming a developed country has also been emphasized.
