🚀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀, 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 🎓 One of the most exciting advancements in education today is the integration of 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗔𝗜) into our teaching practices. From adaptive learning platforms to AI-driven assessments, technology is helping us 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in ways we couldn’t have imagined just a few years ago. In my own classroom, I’ve seen the power of AI tools firsthand. Whether it’s using AI to offer tailored feedback to students or identifying areas where they need more support, these tools are helping me focus more on 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 – 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 of the subject matter. But while the technology is exciting, the 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 of teaching remains irreplaceable. AI can’t replace the 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 that teachers bring to the classroom every day. Instead, it’s helping us to become even more effective in what we do, freeing up time to build stronger relationships with our students and create more meaningful learning experiences. I’m excited about where education is headed, and I’d love to hear from other educators and professionals about how 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 and student outcomes. #AIinEducation #TeachingInnovation #EdTech #FutureOfEducation #STEM #PersonalizedLearning #HumanTouchInTeaching #IGCSE #ScienceTeacher

Excited to share insights from my recent experience at SXSW EDU with the EduDream team! One recurring theme that caught my attention was the intersection of AI in education, particularly its impact on diverse learners. As a researcher delving into student Motivation, Engagement, and Persistence (MEP), I've wondered about the potential role of AI in addressing these factors across diverse student groups. Can AI bridge the MEP gap? That question loomed large in many sessions I attended at SXSW EDU. However, the digital divide remains a significant hurdle - separating those with access to digital tools from those without. This divide is critical in understanding the potential of AI adoption in schools. At its core, this issue is about equity. Students from low-income backgrounds, rural areas, and minority communities often lack the necessary technology access and resources. This already exacerbates existing disparities in educational outcomes, perpetuating inequality. AI holds immense promise in education, offering personalized experiences, targeted support, and fostering innovation—all vital for supporting diverse student MEP and learning. However, without addressing the digital divide, many students risk being left behind and unable to harness the benefits of AI. Truly, I was glad to see the digital divide taking center stage at SXSW EDU. It's a reminder that as we explore AI's potential, we must prioritize equitable access for all learners. Let's continue this crucial conversation and work towards an inclusive future in education. #AIinEducation #AI #Equity

What if AI designed to bridge the educational divide is actually widening it? Next week, I’m excited to meet with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology! I’ll be discussing the evolving digital connectivity technology and AI policy landscape for districts and digitally underserved communities in San Diego and California. Despite initiatives like California’s AB1047, significant challenges remain that risk widening the digital divide. Key points I'll address: 1. Challenges in Emerging Technologies and AI Policy: • How government and corporate funding often bypasses communities that need it most. • Lack of infrastructure and access to AI tools in low-income areas. • The need for AI training for educators. • Ensuring ethical AI use to address biases from excluded populations in datasets. 2. Data Safety and Privacy Concerns: • Impact of biased or incomplete data on AI fairness. • Protecting student data. • Building trust in AI among digitally underserved communities. 3. Capacity Building Needs: • Improving connectivity and providing devices that support AI. • Offering digital skills training for educators. 4. Exciting Opportunities with AI: • Using AI to support digitally underserved communities with education and government services. • Enhancing U.S. students’ global competitiveness through equitable access to AI. It’s a privilege to collaborate with leaders shaping the future of AI in education. Together, we can harness AI’s potential while promoting justice and equity for all learners, especially those historically unserved and underserved by science and technology. I'm happy to share your concerns or suggestions in the discussion and report back to you. #AIinEducation #DigitalInclusion #Equity #Mohuman

🤖✨ Embracing the Future of Education with Balance and Wisdom 🌟📚 In Massachusetts, a spirited debate unfolds as parents challenge AI’s role in grading, spotlighting broader conversations about technology’s place in education. This landmark lawsuit raises pivotal questions: Can AI truly capture the nuances and creativity of student work? Is transparency at the core of AI implementations in classrooms? 💭 While AI promises efficiency and consistency, this case underscores the irreplaceable value of human insight. As educators and innovators, it's our responsibility to ensure AI serves as an ally, enhancing—not overshadowing—the unique perspectives that students bring. 🌐 🔍 Key Considerations: - Prepare for a future where AI assists but doesn't replace educators. - Engage stakeholders to build trust in AI's educational role. - Advocate for hybrid grading models that value human oversight alongside AI efficiency. Let's aim for a future where technology and human insight blend seamlessly to elevate learning experiences. Together, we can pioneer an educational journey that honors tradition and embraces innovation. 🚀🎓 #AIEducation #TechnologyInLearning #HumanTouchInAI READ MORE: https://lnkd.in/gez8v-AQ Make $5k/month with AI here: https://lnkd.in/gim2NEX3
