Hi, I’m Kaitlin! 🌺 I’ve had the incredible opportunity to help build an event venue from the ground up as a Sales and Marketing Manager and drive sales across multiple industries. I’ve also been a Technical Support Specialist and have taken all the intro IT classes in college. (Feel free to check out my GitHub at the link in my profile.) Right now, I’m upskilling with an SDR course through CourseCareers and diving into a lot of self-learning through YouTube and podcasts to break into tech sales! I’m excited to channel my resourcefulness, grit, growth mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit into a new career in tech. I have a knack for building relationships, creating opportunities, and driving growth. Outside of work, you can find me spending quality time with my kids and my fur child 🐶 (my cockapoo really is that color!). I’m a passionate cook, whipping up dishes like I’m in a cooking show competition. (Shameless plug: I’ve been featured in HuffPost, Yahoo, and even caught the eye of some top food brands for my recipes.) I have a great sense of humor and love watching comedies, but I’m also serious about my growth—constantly devouring self-development books and podcasts. To hiring managers and recruiters in tech: If you’re looking for someone who values growth, brings heart and hustle, actively seeks feedback and coaching, and truly aims to build meaningful connections that make a lasting impact on people and businesses—let’s talk! I’d love to be a part of your team. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves, a forever student, and am not afraid of getting scrappy to make things happen .(Motherhood made me an expert at this) 😃😃😃😃 For people that want to make new friends & network: I’m always open to making new friends, hearing your story, helping where I can, and networking. I’m a message away! #techsales #womenintech #hireme #minoritiesintech #breakintotech #coursecareers #sdr #bdr #techtalent #salesstrategy

🎙️ Excited to share my first IRL podcast interview with Growth Street, discussing personal branding as a LinkedIn Top Voice for Next Gen! I literally connected with Darsh Patel after discovering Growth Street in Next Play's newsletter. Our shared mission of empowering Gen Z led to a coffee chat and eventually, an in-studio recording session in NJ. Your reach is your new resume. In today's digital age, 80% of jobs aren't publicly advertised, and 85% of jobs are filled through networking. Studies show personal branding drives 3x more job opportunities than traditional applications. The ROI speaks for itself: • 92% of employers research candidates online before hiring • Professionals with strong personal brands earn up to 40% more • LinkedIn members with complete profiles are 40x more likely to receive opportunities Proof in action: Every major role in my career came through personal brand and networking: • VC internship at 7wireVentures • Norwegian fintech CrowdWorks • LoopChat (UC Berkeley startup) • Daebak Company • Realm AI • Gen Z VCs The common thread? Each opportunity came from coffee chats and people resonating with both my personal brand and capabilities. Most of these roles were created specifically for me. Want my unfiltered takes on building a powerful personal brand + exclusive networking insights? Catch the full interview and clips dropping these next two weeks on YouTube and Instagram! #PersonalBranding #GenZ #Networking #CareerGrowth #LinkedInTopVoice #Entrepreneurship

You could fit over a decade of a journey into one slide on social media if you couldn’t care less. Just omit “sentiments” such as leaving the old beloved office 🏢 and moving to the new one, repeating it. Searching for «your» team members, facing early burnouts and the first successes, the first challenges. Forget mentioning your team’s emotions after finishing the very first project, and arranging the first offline meetups despite the distance. Don’t even mention the first graduates in our ErgoServ Academy and job offers for the best of them after graduation 👩🎓🧑🎓 Don’t tell the audience how we gained experience with sweat and blood 🫨, tested tens of business hypotheses, changed strategies, stumbled, and got up— straightened our backs. Oh wait, we just did.🤫🙂↕️ #companyculture #softwaredeveloper #fyp #it #growth #outsourcing

Key Takeaways from the "Starting Stronger" Event 💡 We’re deeply grateful to our collaborators at Tech Creed, and our inspiring speakers — Anisë Abazi (Kodhelaj), Alexandria S., and Dr. Luise Frohberg — for their powerful stories and guidance, and for every attendee who dedicated their time to us. And, of course, a huge THANK YOU, Rexhina Hoxha, for leading the event. Together, we addressed some of the toughest challenges in the job search. Here’s what we learned to help you start stronger! 1️⃣ Embrace Your Transferable Skills As Anisë highlighted, people skills, creativity, and problem-solving are invaluable in today’s job market. Technologies will evolve, but these skills will continue to set you apart. 2️⃣ Confidence Through Action Alexandra reminded us that rejection is part of the process, not a reflection of your worth. Confidence grows when you take action, even in small ways. Create a "confidence folder" of accomplishments to revisit when self-doubt creeps in. 3️⃣ Authenticity Wins Avoid the temptation to copy-paste AI-generated answers into applications. Craft your CV and LinkedIn profile to reflect you. Use creative formats or personal anecdotes to stand out. Authenticity attracts opportunities. 4️⃣ Leverage Emotional Intelligence Emotional intelligence is a superpower in today’s job market. Practice self-awareness by identifying your triggers, strengths, and values — these insights will help you answer the interview questions. 5️⃣ Expand Your Network Tap into platforms like LinkedIn to connect with peers and potential mentors. Networking isn’t just a strategy — it’s an ongoing investment in yourself. Once again, a huge thank you to all our speakers and Tech Creed for making this event possible! This is how we grow — by supporting and learning from one another. 💬 Which of these tips resonates most with you? Have your insights to share? Let us know in the comments! Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive tech community. #WomenInTech #TechCareers #ProfessionalDevelopment #CareerWorkshop #JobSearchSupport #StartingStronger #CareerEmpowerment #WomenEmpowerment

Today's post about Do's and Don'ts comes courtesy of ... a startup fair? There are actually a few parallels between startups and job seekers. We're both: 🤝 Trying to get our "pitch" right 🤝 Networking too much or not enough (there is no happy medium) 🤝 Feeling the financial pressure slowly mounting 🤝 Editing yet another deck / resume So we're bringing you one big takeaway from the TechCrunch Early Stage conference in Boston that The ApplyAI founders Vrijen Attawar and Logan Currie attended last week. One of the best sessions? How to cultivate relationships with VC's. ✖ Don't: Wait until you need a job (or funding) to reach out to your network. ☑ Do: Nurture those relationships BEFORE you need to ask How do you nurture your network? 🔥 Talk about what gets you excited - or angry! See a problem in your industry? Focus your outreach on people working to solve that problem. What do they see working or not working? Where do they see things developing? 📩 Be your own marketer! We've seen some great (not cringe-y) individual newsletters sent quarterly or bi-annually. 👋 Check in with your people! Email those former coworkers or bosses with a quick update. 🔗 The default? A good old fashioned LinkedIn update with a quick rundown of what you've been focused on lately. The key is to maintain + nurture those relationships over the long term. Then, when you need to ask for something, you've already increased your chances by 10x. #jobseeking #careertips #careergrowth #TCearlystage2024 #careercoach #jobhunting #networking101

Struggling with your job search and where to begin?... Let’s break today's advice down into simple, actionable steps... 🎅 Day 6 of 12 Days of Xenata is about Identifying Your Ideal Employer... What to do first? 1️⃣ Make a list of 10 companies you admire. What are their mission and key challenges? How do my skills and experiences align with solving them? Then 2️⃣ Craft a Laser-Focused LinkedIn Headline Your headline should highlight your expertise and where you add value vertically (specific industries) and horizontally (functional skills). Example Headline: "Software Engineer | 4+ Years in B2B Insurtech & Legaltech | Scaling Early-Stage Startups with Expertise in Customer-Centric SaaS Solutions" This approach communicates: Vertical expertise: Deep understanding of industries like insurtech and legaltech. Horizontal skills: Proven ability to scale startups and build products customers love And... 3️⃣ Why it Works A focused LinkedIn profile : 💡 Signals clarity on your career goals. 💡Attracts decision makers at companies aligned with your expertise. 💡Positions you as a natural fit for opportunities in your chosen niche. Customising your outreach to each company with a personal touch based on your research is essential when doing this. More from myself and Xenata tomorrow on who's hiring over Christmas and how best to get in front of these great companies ✌
