CEO Emeritus at Providence

One of my favorite traditions at Providence was working with my leadership team to publish health care predictions each year. Last month, in a webinar with our senior leaders, I talked about where health care is headed with our VP of National Communication Melissa Tizon. As I transition to CEO emeritus, I’d like to share clips from our conversation about health care trends to watch. 👉 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: AI and digital tools will play a crucial role in streamlining operations, improving patient care, addressing workforce challenges and supporting health care professionals. 👉 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀: The time of mergers and acquisitions for health systems is over. The strategy of partnering with other organizations to create integrated delivery networks will ensure comprehensive care for our communities without owning all services. 🔎 Read this Becker's Healthcare article for more of my thoughts on mergers and acquisitions: https://lnkd.in/gvtS8kwK 👉 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲: Change in health care will continue to be rocky, requiring a renewed focus on patients and their families. My hope is the U.S. will avoid a two-tiered health care system so that all individuals have equal access to services.
