Ever notice how hotel chains are building multiple hotels in the same area? It’s happening a lot in places like Dubai and the Maldives, and there’s a reason for it. Look at Jumeirah in Dubai; Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Jumeirah Al Naseem are all close together but each offers something different for different types of travelers. In the Maldives, Crossroads does the same with SAii Lagoon and Hard Rock Hotel, giving guests different vibes in one spot. As people look for more personalized stays, this trend seems to be growing, meeting different needs while building brand loyalty. What other reasons do you think are behind this? #Hospitality #HotelStrategy #JumeirahHotels #CrossroadsMaldives

When your product is seen as a part of a commodity market, more often than not you will end up in a price war. Personalized pricing has been spoken about to a great length over the last few years. If there are hotels, which can get the most out of it – it is the resort and all inclusive segment. Maldives is right on top of this list. Here’s my take on how resorts can capitalize on the data availability and technology now to cut away from being a commodity and compete through value offering. Thank you Travel Trade Maldives for sharing my thoughts. #RevenueManagement #HotelManagement #Hospitality #resorts #Personalization

I recently returned from an amazing trip to the Maldives, where I gained valuable insights on the importance of having a 'unique selling point' (USP) in the hotel industry which is increasingly blurring the lines between true lifestyle and luxury hotels. During my stay, I had the privilege of experiencing the unique offerings of Sonu Shivdasani, OBE’s Soneva Resorts and Crown & Champa Resorts Kudadoo Maldives Private Island. Both these resorts have successfully established clear USP in a competitive market where 35 new properties and 10,735 beds are expected by the end of 2025. Soneva Resorts stands out with its innovative design, sustainability initiatives, and F&B experiences. The launches of Soneva Jani and Secret, along with the introduction of overwater villas at Fushi, has created a buzz by being the first to feature waterslides off their villas, garnering significant media attention and user-generated content. Similarly, Kudadoo Maldives Private Island redefines ultra-luxury with its 'Anything. Anywhere. Any Time.' concept, elevating the all-inclusive experience with meticulous attention to service and premium offerings like a wine list boasting 95 top-tier selections. In a saturated market, it is crucial for brands to constantly evolve to establish a unique selling proposition - no matter how big or small - that not only sets them apart but also maximizes awareness by leveraging competition. #HospitalityIndustry #PointOfDifference #BrandDifferentiation #uniquesellingpoint #sonevaresorts #maldives #hotels #tourism #lifestylehotels #luxuryhotels
