🚀 We love running experiments in Amplitude that impact the bottom line. We're excited to take it a step further with DoubleLoop bringing the business strategy and value drivers into context of the AB Test. Over the past few weeks, we've worked with Dan in created a detailed metrics map shows how the AB Test influenced the strategic drivers and company initiatives. We're excited to contritube this case study from Adasight, where we ran an A/B test for a video streaming company and saw a big impact on their revenue! In the upcoming Amplitude community event on 20th, Daniel Schmidt, Cofounder of DoubleLoop will run through the case study, with Gregor Spielmann from Adasight sharing some practical examples. Replay was a blast! We were able to demo a recent app we've been building with Go, templ, htmx, turbo native, and temporal. Temporal's UI made it really easy to point out exactly what the program was doing and when. That vertical line of green circles (I'm pointing at it) is the logic to calculate tax for an order, using Stripe. Tax calculations cost money, so these should only be executed when it's necessary, and results should be cached. Temporal gives this to us for free; by defining that tax calculation as an activity, temporal automatically caches the results and only sends a request to Stripe if there's a cache miss.
