Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend another fascinating session in the GetSeen Ventures GenAI bootcamp, led by Dan Figueiredo, MBA who is a Global Technology Strategist - Artificial Intelligence, Currently working at Microsoft. We delved into the history of GPT, explored emerging technologies, and discussed the future of AI. 🤖✨ Here are my top three takeaways: 1️⃣ We explored the evolution of GPT and its journey, highlighting the limitations posed by current hardware and how innovations like holographic storage could lead to more efficient computing, using less power compared to traditional CPUs. 🧠💡 2️⃣ The session provided a glimpse into the potential of quantum computing, with its use of qubits and the growing interest from companies like Microsoft and governments. This cutting-edge technology could revolutionize how we handle complex AI computations. 🔬🌐 3️⃣ Dan emphasized the crucial role of governments and regulatory bodies in ensuring that AI development remains ethical, preventing large corporations from having unchecked power. Nvidia CEO says AI could pass human tests in five years "Huang said that the answer largely depends on how the goal is defined. If the definition is the ability to pass human tests, Huang said, artificial general intelligence (AGI) will arrive soon. "If I gave an AI ... every single test that you can possibly imagine, you make that list of tests and put it in front of the computer science industry, and I'm guessing in five years time, we'll do well on every single one," said Huang, whose firm hit $2 trillion in market value on Friday." Answering questions that humans have created and know the answers to ... Providing answers to questions humans define ... simple. Eventually we can build a tool to "pass" any such test. Just like we could probably train a person to pass a test we devised to prove something was a monkey. Regurgitating data isn't intelligence. This will be valuable when humans stop thinking, or are too busy trying to simply survive, or the effort necessary is boring or dangerous or someone hopes that by allowing a tool to "make the decisions" they won't be responsible for the outcome. Now if we want to prove whether or not a tool is human there are a few simple tests, like a DNA test or molecular testing or chromosomal testing. Beyond all of this is a simple requirement for moving forward on this path ... 100% transparency. No human should EVER unknowingly interact with a tool.
