Leveraging professional connections and supportive communities can make all the difference. Here's how: - **Join Professional Women's Networks**: Connect with women's professional groups both online and offline for job opportunities, advice, and support. - **Attend Women-Centric Career Events**: Look for tailored events to network with female leaders and recruiters. - **Utilize Women-Focused Online Platforms**: Explore platforms offering job boards and networking opportunities for women. - **Seek Mentorship from Experienced Women Professionals**: Gain guidance and insights from industry veterans. - **Establish a Supportive Peer Network**: Build relationships with other women to share resources and job leads. - **Engage in Safe Online Networking**: Prioritize safe platforms and be cautious with personal information. - **Trust Your Instincts and Set Boundaries**: If something feels off, don't hesitate to step back and prioritize your well-being. By tapping into women-centric networks and events, women can navigate the job market safely while accessing valuable career opportunities and support.

I regularly work with women returning to work following a career break. Our sessions together often begin by focusing on building inner confidence and challenging the limiting beliefs that hold them back - there is often self-doubt about how 'employable' they feel or concerns about their ability to step back into their previous roles. Reframing concerns and recognising their own key strengths and skills is essential in developing the confidence to apply for roles they’re more than qualified to thrive in. However, it’s not just about individual effort - organisations also play a key role in encouraging women to return to the workforce.
