Based in North Carolina, our hearts are heavy with the unprecedented destruction Hurricane Helene has brought to our western counties. Despite the valiant efforts of first responders, the National Guard, utility teams, and humanitarian workers, many of the most severely affected areas remain isolated, struggling to access necessities like gas, food, water, electricity, and cell service. The impact extends beyond our state lines into Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida—regions that have also faced significant damage. Although our facilities were not damaged, it's likely we all know someone—a colleague, friend, family member, neighbor or client—who has been touched by this tragedy. In light of such overwhelming adversity and hardship, finding the right way to help can seem daunting. However, by coming together in support we can create positive change. We encourage you to join us at Alcami in contributing to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund as a step towards aiding our neighbors on their path to recovery. Alternatively, if you're already connected with a trusted non-profit known for their relief efforts or prefer organizations like the American Red Cross or Salvation Army for your contributions—please do so. Let’s keep these communities close to heart and continue doing everything within our power to assist them as they rebuild. Hurricane Milton is projected to bring damaging winds and life-threatening storm surge to Florida. Here's how you can help: Federal employees and their families may face significant challenges in the aftermath of this storm. Following Hurricane Helene, FEEA is providing disaster relief grants to federal employees across six states, assisting with temporary lodging and storm-related damage. FEEA is again ready to provide support through our Disaster Relief Grants, helping feds cover the costs of temporary lodging, critical home repairs, and replacement mattresses. But we need your support! Back-to-back hurricanes will strain FEEA’s resources. Join us in bringing our #FedsHelpingFeds mission to life and to help federal employees impacted by both Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Two days after Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 storm, at least 16 lives have been lost, and over two million people remain without power. The need for assistance is immense. We've already given flight to responders from six relief partners to reach Florida, but we need to rush many more helping hands to provide urgent support. Please help us provide the gift of flight for more personnel responding to both Hurricanes Helene and Milton. By covering their flight costs, we enable them to allocate more resources to those in need and extend their programs, allowing them to stay on the ground longer. Every contribution makes a difference! 💙 https://lnkd.in/dy8kFfS Learn more about their programs: Operation BBQ Relief, Heart to Heart International, Information Technology Disaster Resource Center (ITDRC), CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), Red Lightning, and REACH OUT WORLDWIDE | Disaster Relief Non-Profit Organization Milton Airline Partners: American Airlines, United Airlines, and Southwest Airlines #Milton #HurricaneMilton #DisasterRelief

Days after landfall, millions of people are still reeling from the heartbreak left behind by Hurricane Helene. The American Red Cross has launched a massive response along the 500-mile path of destruction to ensure no one faces this challenging time alone. More than 900 Red Cross disaster responders, alongside our partners, are working around the clock to get help to those in need. Right now, our focus is on providing safe shelter, meals, emotional support and relief supplies for people facing unimaginable destruction. Sunday night, more than 2,600 people stayed in 69 emergency shelters supported by the Red Cross and other community organizations. In some of the hardest hit areas that are accessible, 60 Red Cross emergency response vehicles are distributing meals, water and critical relief supplies. Each day, we are working tirelessly to reach more neighborhoods as conditions improve. With the help of partners, the Red Cross has provided more than 25,000 meals and snacks to people in need. People affected by Hurricane Helene need help now. You can help by making a financial donation, by visiting redcross.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767). We can't do this alone!

We live in a state fortunate enough to only experience small natural disasters. Our hearts go out to those across the country affected by Hurricane Helene. We know how devastating natural disasters can be, and now more than ever, it’s time to come together. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness, every effort counts in helping these communities rebuild and recover. Hurricane Helene has caused an estimated $145 to $160 billion in damage, making it one of the costliest storms in U.S. history. The extensive destruction impacted homes, businesses, and infrastructure, particularly along the Gulf Coast and southern Appalachian regions. This figure includes both insured and uninsured losses, along with the economic impact of evacuations, power outages, and disruptions to supply chains. If you can’t get your boots on the ground, please please visit https://lnkd.in/gcbD93iR to learn of ways you can support those affected by hurricane Helene. #hurricanehelene #communitysupport #ehsrestoration
